No doubt. But a team sometimes plays the game differently with different goaltenders. Let's see how they play tonight in their defensive end. If not so good, maybe they rely too much on the tender. Sometimes the backup brings them back to what they should be doing.

He had the best GAA in the exhibition games.

20 minutes implies a goalie was pulled - York sadly almost never does that - just remember Ryan Shannon killing himself on the ice to keep BC in it in Worcester while Schneider stayed in net and kept North Dakota in it (yes, Matti got in, but way too late and just because he was a senior then)

This offense is really really good.

How the rest of this season goes will depend on Muse and the young defense.

Well, that was certainly fun. I'd say opposing teams would do well not to get into an up and down game with this team. Great to see Steve Whitney and Kreider get on the scoreboard. The first of many.

Wow is right. That is the reason for the optimism right there. Here's to hoping that they make another statement tomorrow afternoon. What's great is that they are starting to get scoring from a large percentage of the roster. Follow it up tomorrow fellas.

And John Muse played a great game in net. The box score says Vt had 31 SOG, BC 19. That seems hard to believe, but I wasn't counting shots, just goals. ;) :D

I love when our team backs up a great game (flame) thread. :D

I also thought the SOG seemed strange. I didn't even look at them until like the end of the 2nd period. I was shocked when I saw that up on the scoreboard.

Scoreboard had shots at 9 all after the first period which I thought was about right. With a minute and a half gone in the second period and and after a flurry in front of Muse it went to 16 -9 in favor of Vermont. I was sitting at the other end of the building but I'm pretty sure it was a flurry, not a barrage.

This is the worst written article I have ever read.

It is both hockey illiterate and a grammatical disaster. Shouldn't one understand sports or be a good writer in order to be a sportswriter? an AIDS monkey can do better than this; please tell me you don't pay for this kind of crap, USCHO.

A vast, vast majority of the USCHO arena reporters are beyond horrible.

I believe preference for the gigs go to journalism/English students at said Universities...which begs the question why are these apes wasting their time and money going to school if this drivel is the end result.
