That's nothing; take a look at this:

http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1213/boxes/wlinrmu1.m01

NCAA record 90 of 92 saves for that goalie. DOUBLE

unbelievable! also, this tidbit from Hockeyeastonline:

"Skarupa had a team high 16 shots on goal ... the Black Bears blocked 25 BC shots .."

so, 25 blocks and 74 that got through, that's 99! Skarupa with 16 on her own:eek:

If the roles were reversed, you would of had seen the PC player tossed. That hit from behind was very soft for a five.

BC players all night went right to the boards and immediately turned their backs to get those two hit from behind calls. It is a very unsafe way to play...

Stick to baseball. Dope.

another injury..........one we can't afford. from boston.com

The only negative aspect was that senior defenseman Patrick Wey was cut in the back of the thigh by a skate in the late going. York said he didn’t yet know if Wey would be able to play Saturday afternoon in the rematch at Conte Forum. -

seriously?

OK... I was driving up to Carrabasset Valley with the family tonight.
Gotta tell ya... there's nothing quite like getting score update texts from sterlippo. :)
I may never go to a game again... it's like reading the radio... and it's FRICKING hilarious! :D
sterlippo... you da man. Thanks.

Sugarloaf? Went up presidents weekend, was awesome.

It's a hell of a ridge on a Friday night though, enjoy

Wow, this team cannot catch a break, already two very important upper classmen out for the year (Alber may be back), Straight's ankle injury, a few concussions and now this....

Zlax you are ridiculous. Quit your whining. Gaudreau getting drilled was a textbook 5 min major. These guys aren't going out there to deliberately put themselves in a bad position to try to get PPs. Haven't been doing it all season long and York would never allow it. Maybe if you watch this league for another 25 years you will get a clue.

And it's not just BC. I wouldn't say any team does that.

True. BUT
Softest bc team i have seen in many years. I noticed several turning in hopes that they would pull up.
First and foremost you need to protect yourself. Pros put that burden on the player, college hockey does not. 5/5 bc was avg at best

Yet with all the injuries they just beat the tied for number one team in the league on the road and are in first place, hmmm.....

And with a win this afternoon they will likely be top 3 in the nation going into the last weekend of the season. Pretty impressive for a team that's been labeled "top heavy" "no depth" "inexperienced on D" "soft" and everything else spewed on this board.

Great to see BC gutting out wins on the road at Merrimack and at Providence this week, two tough places to play.

Youngest team in the country, but don't let the facts get in the way.

24? Wow, he's almost was old as Matt Gilroy was when he was a senior at BU (facts)

.

they are all of those and slow too:D It's what some top talent and the best coaching staff in the country will do for you in this type of year in college hockey where it appears no one is dominant with Minnesota being the closest to that:cool:
