Isn't Arnold a strong candidate to leave- Pro salary structure seems to want this-

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?

SR: Hayes, Brown, Arnold
JR: Gaudreau, Linell, Smith, Spiro, Straight, Sit
SO: Silk, McMullen
FR: Cangelosi, Calnan, Fitzgerald, Richardson, McGlynn, Gilmore

17 forwards for 12 spots!

The interesting thing is of the 17 (I’m not including FR cause you simply never know) there are only a few who I would be shocked if they don’t start on opening night: Hayes, Arnold, Gaudreau, Q Smith. So 14 forwards for 8 spots, wow.

has something to do with this post

"given the recruits that are coming next year, and just looking at this current roster of forwards who are frosh or soph the only two that will for sure get ice time next year are JG and Smith. For all the rest the jury will still be out IMO and they will have to beat out incoming freshmen to get ice time
(straight-Linell-sit-silk-spiro-mcmullen) "

we are going to see a lot of freshmen getting big minutes on the ice next year and i hope speed returns to Chestnut Hill

Gotta keep Whitney with Arnold as otherwise we'll only have one scoring line which ain't gonna work.

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?

It's probable that what you asked he couldn't share. He tweets/posts pretty much all the info he's able to. If he doesn't, it's for a reason.

Generally, the questions I ask are about recruits-- when they are coming in; who is getting pushed back; why hasn't so-and-so played in awhile; etc. They are very basic questions. I never ask inside info about the current team.

Tony The Tiger, do you ever ask him questions? If so, does he respond?

I converse with him on twitter pretty often. Maybe he's just not an email guy?

well then... was hayes' poopie dark or light?
in a pile, or tubular?
dry or runny?
stinky or benign?

Hayes should have taken a dump in the home penalty box at agganis

If we had a scoring line, I might agree. The idea of moving Whitney back up is to create ONE scoring line.
Which is the current scoring line?

With hayes out, I wouldn't put the top line back together. But maybe the best way to get gaudreau going is pairing him with whitney. Put mullane with arnold.

Start from there. Problem is with how you round those two out.

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?

I have felt for awhile and continue to feel that Conor McGlynn will get pushed back. No inside info, at all-- just a gut feeling. In 40 games this year, he has 8 points. Plus, he doesn't turn 18 until June. No need to bring him in this fall.

On a side note, does anyone here ever email "The Kid" questions? I have in the past and never get a response. Thanks.

I agree with you on McGlynn, just feel he needs to grow into his body a lot more and with that will develop because he has the tools. On another note for everyone who doesn't have this bookmarked, Heisenberg's recruit site is below and usually really accurate. Many times he'll have information about recruits being pushed back or up before others on there.

Well, wings are easier to put on an off wing. Tough to put a center out of position, and tougher to have anyone but a center play center.

Let me ask everyone this... you are defending your home against 3 men with weapons. Which would be easier to defend?
a. 2 men with machine guns and one with a bb gun
b. 2 men with machine guns and one with a howitzer

I don't see where it is better to make 2 guys less effective with 1 weak link, when you can have 3 very effective threats. That line could be good for 2-4 gpg. Spread 'em out, well, you'll have scoring games like Maine, MC and Lowell. If everyone were Northeastern, no problem then. But not everyone is Northeastern.

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?

I'm certainly not saying it's a perfect solution, but the last thing this team can do is pigeon hole guys into set positions. It's not as hard at this level to switch forward positions than it is at the NHL level. And honestly, I think that stuff gets overblown.

If you want the top line reunited, give me your second line and you'll see how ineffective arnold will be.

In the end, it may not matter. Might not have the horses either way.

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?

First, 5Hole you're crazy on Dyroff :D

I really think Nick hit on something pre Hayes injury of York holding off before going pedal to the metal and riding the big 2 lines.

Now I think he might hold off before putting the big line back till HE (or be selective in when he uses it).

If this team is going to have a shot, they're going to need 13 going and having Linell on on the other wing isn't getting it done right now (now watch Jerry leave them together and Linell pops 2 in tonight :D)

As for the Kid, twitter is usually the way to go for me

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?
