I could care less what the results are. The one thing I know is that in no way was it I.

a pet peeve..............you could care less or you couldn't care less, which is it?

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?

Anyone see how Hayes was hurt? That's a big time bummer, for him and the team. Hope he heals up soon with no long term affects.

No wiggle room now with the lines. Gotta get at least one line scoring on a consistent basis.
Hard working group... I'm not giving up on this team.

Based on the way he came off the ice + the fact he didn't play in a game for 2 weeks, I assumed he just pulled something.

He went in for a follow up surgery this morning. I hope the butcher of St. E's Dr. English wasn't the one operating on him.

Fascinated to see what York does with the lines tomorrow night, I don't want to see what we saw during Hayes' suspension though, if this team has a shot they need to out work other teams for 60 minutes & 13 needs to get hot. He isn't with Linell on his opposite wing. Is the solution reuniting the big line and York riding them as long as possible? I don't know but might play into the point above that York is holding off as long as possible before putting the pedal to the metal.

Sterlippo, don't worry it's one of my pet peeves as well.

Tanner MacMaster committed to BC tonight. He's a 5'9" forward from Alberta, has 24-23--47 in 54 games for Camrose of the AJHL.

This article suggests he'll probably be coming in 2014: http://www.calgaryherald.com/sports/hockey/calgary-flames/MacMaster+talents+about+land+biggest+stage/7717647/story.html
I thought Merrimack got all the Western Canada kids? Ooops, just checked, he's not 22 years old. Now it makes sense.

Totally understand. My wife has a thing about 10 Items or Less signs at the checkouts. FEWER dammit!

As do I ... The latest cringe-inducing mangling of the King's English that never fails to raise my BP is any of several Ford Motor Co. commercials that all implore us to 'Go Further' ... Paraphrasing BU2K, it's FARTHER dammit!

Congratulations to Zach Sanford (Middlesex EJHL) as he has committed to Boston College for '14. @zachsanford21

Chose BC over UNH. Must have been another one of those kids that was going to go to UNH before those Ivy League admissions staffers at UNH said no to him! edit - also a former teammate of JD Dudek at Pinkerton Academy.

Going to be a lot of competition here in the next few years. BC graduates 6 this year and brings in 10 (assuming Gaudreau gets pushed back). After that BC graduates 4 and brings in 5 for 2014...

Have to think BC is done for a while through 2014.

He was featured in a sports segment on WMUR news (NH) the other night. It was mentioned that he was being recruited pretty heavily, and that both York and Umile were in attendance at a recent game (not to mention a bunch of NHL scouts, though perhaps not at the same game.) I suppose it's no surprise that he's committed to BC, but it is disappointing.

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?

BC has watched Sanford a ton over the past 2 years. Played with future commit Dudek at Pinkerton last year and with Fitz with the Islanders this year. Can't hurt those 2 kids are headed to BC and he is best friends with Dudek. He's good but the NHL scouts were much more likely watching possible 1st-3rd round pick Fitz and Sanford is on the periphery for them. Sanford is much more raw than Fitz but is a big gritty player and impressed a lot at the EJ showcase.

This tells me theyre worried about more than just Hayes leaving.

He pretty much had all of HE after him. Lowell and Merrimack were two of the early schools on him, way back when.

I've always thought Hayes was gone after this year, this last week + I'm not 100% sure (no inside info).

Anyways let’s assume everyone stays simply for arguments sake.

We have 6 forwards coming in, with 3 leaving.

SR: Hayes, Brown, Arnold
JR: Gaudreau, Linell, Smith, Spiro, Straight, Sit
SO: Silk, McMullen
FR: Cangelosi, Calnan, Fitzgerald, Richardson, McGlynn, Gilmore

17 forwards for 12 spots!

The interesting thing is of the 17 (I’m not including FR cause you simply never know) there are only a few who I would be shocked if they don’t start on opening night: Hayes, Arnold, Gaudreau, Q Smith. So 14 forwards for 8 spots, wow.

only going to play one year in the ushl? why didn't go this year? he young, really young?

Re: Boston College Hockey, '12-'13, Volume II: #JohnnyHockey or #GaudreaubeyBaker?

What's it going to be?...

Gaudreau-Mullane-Whitney
Straight-Arnold-Linell
Smith-Brown-Dyroff
McMullen/Spiro-Sit-Silk

or

Gaudreau-Mullane-Smith
Linell-Arnold-Whitney
Straight-Brown-Dyroff
McMullen/Spiro-Sit-Silk

I said this a while back, but I think Dyroff could also work with Gaudreau-Mullane. Put it on his stick and you know the puck's heading to the net. His physical play could also clear some space. OK... so call me crazy. :D

FWIW, I thought Linell and Straight both had good games vs UML. But I still think Linell doesn't fit at the top. Whatever the lines are going to be, the grinder guys have got to step up and start putting some pucks on net, or dishing back for shots from the point and crashing. We need goals and we'll take 'em from anyone.

I have felt for awhile and continue to feel that Conor McGlynn will get pushed back. No inside info, at all-- just a gut feeling. In 40 games this year, he has 8 points. Plus, he doesn't turn 18 until June. No need to bring him in this fall.

On a side note, does anyone here ever email "The Kid" questions? I have in the past and never get a response. Thanks.

It's probable that what you asked he couldn't share. He tweets/posts pretty much all the info he's able to. If he doesn't, it's for a reason.
