Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012
Ah 7-2.....Pretty well sums it up. Relax.

The University of Minnesota brought out the usual garbage. Chippiness, roughing after the whistle, things like that. This is nothing new for The University of Minnesota. We expect it. The University of Minnesota needs to learn that there's no place for that in this game. The University of Minnesota is a team of cheap shot artists. I really hate playing The University of Minnesota, because some University of Minnesota players are one dirty play away from ending someone's career.I didn't watch the game, so maybe you could fill me in on the officiating. The box score says the Bulldogs were called for six penalties and BC for four. Sounds pretty even to me with BU having the advantage. What wasn't even was the power play. The Bulldogs converted on two of three chances and BU only went one for five. Except for the embellishment call on Caitlin Walsh in the second period, I didn't see any calls for roughing or any of that. What was the "cheap stuff?" (And I'm not being a smarta**...I really didn't see the game, so I'm curious.)
Oooo, careful there, Grant. The Eagles didn't even play the University of Minnesota this time. The University of Minnesota brought out the usual garbage. ???.
You are forgiven It's just that if I see someone refer to my school as "BU" I want to throw a kitchen appliance. We are not the garbage safety school down the street, thank you very much!Oops. Naturally, I meant Boston College.

i did watch the game. if you consider being stronger on the puck, stronger in the corners and stronger in front/and in the net poor officiating, then i guess that's what you call it. from my perspective, and i'm sorry to say, bc was just outplayed after the first period. too many odd man breaks allowed by bc and very few bc quality shots. not the end of the world for bc, but today's game will have to be better to have a closer score. both wong and irwin seemed to be on every shift and consistently creating good chances for umd while bc tended to role alot of lines dump the puck in the corner and watch umd come back at them. shots on goal, although fairly close, do not properly indicate the balance of the game. most of bc's shots were from well outside the scoring zone while umd's were often up close. more to come today.

it should not go unnoticed that all three of bc's goals today were by freshman. first weekend of their college careers, on the road, in hostile territory, against a top team and the freshman just fill the net. very impressive and should add significant balance to an already steady team.[/Q
first goal was an own goal by duluth freshman lacquette, and anyone that complains about the referees in this weekends series wasnt there or didnt see it, very fairly called both ways except for an abundance of offsides calls, correct me if im wrong but one foot on the blue line makes one onsides right
