That is a cool story. Thanks for sharing. As you can see north of the Border we play by a different set of rules.
Just to add another dimension to this story....Chuckin Ol Charlie was born in...You guessed it, Montreal, Home of the McGill Redmen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_O'Rourke
Indeed. Before jersey gets excited, there is no truth to the rumor that Charlie O'Rourke was denied admission to McGill. Rather, the O'Rourke family was a victim of the infamous Quebec Potato Famine of 1924, forcing many Irish-Canadians to flee their lives of substinence farming north of the border for a new life in the US. Many of these Boys of Irish Stock went on to form the basis of the strong BC football teams of the 1940s, as well as the 1949 BC hockey team. Many Quebecois football fans, emotionally beat into submission from years of watching the Montreal Alouettes, stay up late at night wondering what might have been if those boys had stayed in Quebec. Rumor has it this exodus has fueled much of the bitterness of the Bruins-Canadiens rivalry. For proponents of such an "elite" school, you could all really use a history refresher!
