Hey... I did hear some students start the E_A_G_L_E chant last night.
It was weak, but it's a start. Hope they keep trying... it'll catch on.
Nothing better at getting Conte rocking once it does catch on. :)

What does hayes have to do to get some love around here? ;) he's producing and improving...I'll take it. A lot of guys would kill for a 4-9-13 line right now and as a sophomore.

Sterlippo, I wonder what BCs record was against BU his first couple years. Probably pretty one sided in BUs favor.

If BU plays like they did last night, we will not be scoring 8 goals. If BU plays like they did last night, we're in for a battle.

I love K. Hayes game right now. I think he is a lot more comfortable at wing than center. Hope to see him progress considerably more as the season rolls along.

Would love to see Mullane and Arnold switch spots/lines. Of course, it's not broke so why fix it, but I think Gaudreau-Arnold-Whitney could become one heck of a scoring line. Hayes/Kreider are going to score with any center (and I think Mullane is a heck of a good center). JMO.

Anyone else noticing Sit centering the 4th line? The kid can play. If we wind up in a jamb at center, looks to me like he could fill in quite well on any line.

If someone passed out leaflets with E-A-G-L-E-S written out, I'm pretty sure the BC student body would then be able to phonetically sound it out. :D Try it, it just might work and you'd have something more than the usual deafening silence at the Count. :D

Ya, but would the Maine students be able to? Also, deafening silence at Conte? Certainly not over the past couple years. Maybe at Alfond though...

i agree but i also think with the chances he has had to this point he should have 10 goals:eek:

to fivehole and the E A G L E S chant, I'm pretty sure i've heard it sporadically before last night though and not having been there in the late 90's early 2000's i'd like to hear what you're talking about.............last night's attendance 6688 and another great student turnout. If the games continue to be as exciting as last night they'll be back again and again:)

Heckuva an ending last night. I don't mind admitting that my feeling afterwards was more relief than anything else. With all the missed opportunities after 2 periods that game just felt like a 2-1 loss waiting to happen. Kudos to NU as usual, they work hard and seem to always play BC tough one way or the other.

As for tomorrow, despite BU's Jekyll & Hyde performance thus far this year, I fully expect BC to get their "A" game. Could go either way.

With BC hockey & basketball going in opposite directions, I wonder if the hockey team will out-draw the basketball team this season?

I gave up my season football tickets and waiting for a new coach and AD. Too bad the football program has gone down with the hiring of Spaz.

Tomorrow is one of those games that scares me. Two teams going in completely different directions, but the rivalry is bigger than the recent results. Hence the, "you can throw out the records", cliche. If the game stays 5x5 and BC can roll four lines, they will have the advantage. If it's a penalty filled affair, who knows. Looking forward to it.

its good to know that things are going so splendidly in blackbear land that you can afford to spend your days concerned with the atmosphere in our rink.

You are absolutely clueless. I did hear the Alfond was rocking this weekend!!! Was that the first time UML has ever swept a pair up in Orono???

If anyone has an extra ticket for Sunday vs BU, please let me know. zudnic at gmail dot com. I can probably scrounge one outside if I have to but I'd rather know before I schlep down there.

Alfraud can't even get rockin' for a UNH game anymore (probably because UNH doesn't usually lose up there anymore, but still....), keep throwing stones though...haha UML...
