Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

Tony, had they snuck out of Amherst with a win, I'd agree. But, losing and knowing they were a little fortunate to beat NU the last time (hell, when was BC's last easy win against NU?)...

I think York has their attention and will emphasize putting BU on the back burner. You could argue NU's been a more consistent, competent team than BU so far anyway.

Big weekend. Would be nice going into Sunday with a W under their belt.

a big rest of November. After this weekend there is @ Notre Dame on 11/18 and on 11/26 at Ylae* or how ever it's now spelled on USCHO:eek: more big tests on the horizon with those two tough road tilts

I like the day off on Saturday, as it gives them time to recuperate for Sunday's game. Playing back to back games in 2 nights can be tiring but we'll see how they do this coming weekend. Pretty even offense now, so far, with 8 by Kreider, 7 by Arnold, 6 by Whitney, 5 by Gaudreau and Almeida. I was hoping to see more goals from Carey and Mullane this year. Hayes is on a real productive line and has only 3 goals.

Well they have to watch for Justin Daniels their leading goal scorer and Manno who had 2 goals against BC. Hopefully, they'll play better defense this time as BC stole a game at Mathews this year.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

Carey has improved each year, but if the lines stay as is, his production could be tied into how Straight develops. Would love for Carey to simply match his 13 from last year.

I don't think Mullane will ever be a huge goal scorer, but he doesn't have to be. He's turning into a premier setup man in this league.

Gotta like the overall balanced attack so far.

1st, this shouldn't be on the 2nd page with 2 big games this weekend.

2nd, I know I'm going to jinx us but BC is 16-1-1 in HE games at home this year and last.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

BU stands for big upset.

But it shouldn't really be an upset when BU wins. They are loaded with talent.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

I am entitled to an opinion. It will be a good game but I truly believe that BU will win.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

personally, i'm hoping bc is put to the test on friday, and comes out flat on sunday...perhaps the only way bu has a chance.

then again, we can always hope parker pays off the refs...

You most certainly are, but what up to this point are you basing that off? Also, which Hockey East team are you a fan of?

NU will most certainly give BC a test just as they always do plus they have to be pretty ticked that they didn't win the first meeting and that may help them...........and stop blowing smoke,;) when BU and BC get it going, it doesn't matter who is supposed to win, anything can happen and anyway, it's not like BU is the Little Sisters of the Poor ...........

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

Look at his forum posts. All he does is go from thread to thread (including WCHA) to let everyone know who he thinks will win. He even referred to Maine as "we".

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

Hes a BC fan. A dumb one, but he's a BC fan.

Yes I like BC a lot. I just feel that BU needs this game more than anything. They have had an up and down start, winning some good ones and then some surprising loses. BU plays up or down to thier opponent and you can be sure BC has been circled on thier calendar for a long long time.

That is why I feel BU will win. I'm not saying they are better than BC. I am saying they need it badly and they are loaded with top end talent and have stellar coaching, just like BC.

IMO BU gets back on track this weekend

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

I'm looking forward to kennel weekend (dog house/dog pound/dog kennel). Not a huge fan of a Sunday game, but should be a good test of BC after what we saw in Amherst.
