^^^ oops, sorry, you're right......................just looked at the schedule for the first BC-Mack match up and we have to wait until Sunday, Jan 8th.......yet we are done with BU on 12/3. Whats with 2 sunday's this year too? really weird schedule all around

BC continues to spread the scoring around with 5 different players getting goals tonight. Especially great to see Almeida and Whitney finally living up to their expectations. ...and lastly, what a fall from grace for Maine. Timmay has truly torn down in just a few years everything that Walsh built at Maine.

Another home blowout where they took the foot of the pedal halfway through the game. At least opposed to the UML game they actually played D when they stopped the full pressure.

HE is terrible

Continuing along this trajectory, it seems as though the Hockey East Regular Season Championship could go to BC by Christmas

Is it just me or did the ice look terrible tonight? Maybe that's just how it is every night.

Thought Maine looked ok early, but it fell apart quickly.

Loved seeing Kreider go after Hockey East's #1 punk, Joey Diamond.

I completely forgot Patrick Brown wasn't in there again tonight. Is he hurt? If Linell can't go, do we see Brown or Spiro?

At 8-1, best start since 8-0-1 in 2002.

the "rebound machine" had by my count (FWIW) only one shot the he didn't sufficiently deal with and for a split second left hanging. he had a couple that it looked like he may have struggled a bit with but never let go. Huge improvement ............i also thought BC broke up a lot of Maine's opportunities from behind the play in our zone.......... BC imposed their will on Maine when ever they wanted to in this game......and i didnt notice us spitting up the puck in our own zone leading to a threat from Maine...... again, a big improvement ...............was there ever a later arriving crowd than tonight?

Agreed on Kreider, great to see him take out that POS Diamond. He was asking for it the entire night and was talking in the handshake line after getting his a.s.s. handed to him & his team getting destroyed.

Initial expectation is that Linell will be out 2-3 weeks. I do not believe Brown is injured. BC has a roster now that allows for guys to (at least temporarily) lose their spot in the lineup after a bad game.

I didn't see it that way. BC's first 3 shifts looked like a 5 on 3 power play.
This one was over when the puck was dropped. Maine looks completely out of shape.
This BC team doesn't have the the overall team speed as some previous teams (although very efficient with the puck), and Maine couldn't keep up. :eek: :confused:

Tough road loss for Eagles, UMass played well tonight and deserved the win. BC falls to 8-2 and maybe drop from the #1 ranking this week.

Ahem, I wouldn't be throwing stones, mookie. At least BC knew they had a game tonight...

Anyway, just wasn't their night. Hit a couple posts and were on the short end of some questionable calls, but credit to UMass. They played the exact game they wanted. BC could never get any flow and really couldn't get a forecheck going or sustain any consistent pressure. Just one of those nights. Gonna happen in a long season.

Two 4-2 losses with ENGs

Big couple home games coming up next weekend.
