FYI, Nu was involved last year and stupidly chose to send their women's team.
FYI, pretty sure that was not the school's choice rather it was Hockey East's decision to have a women's game involved in the Frozen Fenway festivities...FYI
yeah, i actually got that he was pulling NU's leg, which is surprisingI believe that was an example of Steve's famous "wit."![]()
what would you guys think about a bc-nd game in chicago? bu is able to pull off the msg game because of the large alumni base in nyc (to sell our 25% of the seats, then let cu take the rest). i'm not sure if y'all really have a regional base like that to use, and while a pita, it's only a 3-4 hr drive. y'all wouldn't have a 'natural' type rival to hold a similar game in ny... philly doesn't have a team to anchor (like cornell kinda does in nyc). i'd like to think nd could take 2/3rd of the chicago tickets with alums... then leave y'all with 5-6k to move. it would be a nice high profile offering to recruits. just so far away......

No I was serious. I could have seriously wrong info but I remember people here being mad at roby for sending the women. Come on, women's hockey is not a for profit item to say the least
I see this as a big weekend. Not that all weekends aren't big, but BC is on a roll right now. Their confidence is riding high, I am anxious to see their compete level. If they have a strong compete level as a team, they are going to be tough to beat all year. They are just too deep for teams to match up evenly against. This is backed up by BC having eight players scoring a point per game or better. By far the most in the league. BU and Maine have five guys averaging a point or better. This is a telling stat, as they basically have an additional forward line scoring a point or better per game than their competitors.
Maine is always a battle. They will test BC in a lot of ways, as Maine works hard and plays on the edge. BC has to stay out of B.S. and play even strength or man up. The other part of the game I am interested in is if Jerry pays attention to match-ups. I'm not 100% comfortable with their attention to match-ups this season. The Denver game being the most glaring example, as the BC fourth line was caught out there with the Zucker line too often after proving to be over matched. Maybe with their depth, Jerry doesn't feel the need and thinks it may be more of a distraction. Who knows, I guess the game will tell.
Umass is a crap shoot. On the road after a tough Friday night game has trap game written all over it.
I will be extremely impressed with four points, even three, expecting at least two, but don't ask me which game they will come from.
I just don't have much of a desire to go to this game. The only thing that might change my mind is if it isn't on TV. Even then, were there any "great" seats the last time around?
The left field roof seats under the Coca Cola sign were excellent, but very cold and windy up there
The closer you are, the worse it is
