nope, wished i had. went to a "hole" in the wall called rafferty's that a friend told us was good and, well, we were sick of horsefeathers and went there and it wasn't what we were looking for so, delaney's it is next year...........

Re: Brian Dumoulin makes US World Juniors Team

Is anyone going to the US U20 game at RPI on Sunday? (In Troy, NY game at 4)

I'm not going to get my car back in time (accident on way to Dartmouth on Sunday) (rental isn't an option, because I'm an eejit and didn't read something and apparently have to take a class before I can drive and first one offered is Saturday). ANYWAY, if anyone is going and would give me a ride for the gas money, I would be extremely grateful.

After covering the World Juniors in Sweden, Czech Republic, Ottawa and Saskatoon, I can't afford to cover them in Buffalo. This would be my only opportunity to shoot the US team so am particularly bummed right now.

Thanks. (and yes, I am desperate so posting in Cafe and BU threads as well)

shall someone start a second half of the season thread?...... "withdrawal" was mentioned on another thread and there's still 'bout 2 weeks until the next game:o:eek:

From USHR: I believe this is old news for the BC folks.
BC Admissions Says No to Saponari
Boston College admissions has denied the transfer application of former BU forward Vinny Saponari.

Saponari, booted from the Boston University hockey team after his sophomore season, would have entered BC as a junior in the fall of ’11.

Atlanta’s fourth choice in the 2008 draft, Saponari currently leads the USHL in scoring (8-22-30 in 21 games) while helping lead the expansion Dubuque Fighting Saints to the top of the Western Conference standings.

“He’s very disappointed,” said Dubuque coach Jim Montgomery. “He had a long face in my office.”

“It’s too bad, because he’s been playing great. I think he’s the most dominant player in the league now,” says Montgomery. “He’s ready to play in the AHL and develop into a professional player.”

Montgomery reports that the coaching staff at BC “was not happy” with the thumbs-down.

As for the future, Montgomery says his assistant captain “is keeping his options open” and will start talking to schools again in February.

“But,” Montgomery added, "he’s a little down on schools right now.”

Yes... my wife and I are heading up Thursday to see both games of the tournament, then heading over to North Conway Saturday to meet up with some friends. Can't think of a better way to spend New Years Eve than to be watching Eagle hockey! :D

Melissa... you can catch a ride up with us Thursday the 30th if you like, but you'll need to find transportation home as we won't be returning home.

if you get stuck in that settlers green outlet mall:( set back on the northbound side there is a pizza/sandwich place(bramanti's i think) that sells beer :D but you have to eat something too. its not a pub at all but you can at least say you are in the mall and she'll think your buying her something and while she gleefully spends money  you'll have a few cold ones so it won't seem so bad;)
