we actually lead HE in attendance so far this year despite the attractive tuesday night game vs UML:eek: and the two sunday afternoon games...........a tad over 6000 per game, not bad:D

Wow - no offense, but I actually went to HE's page to see if this could really be true. Do need to specify HE in home attendance for all games as BC is second if you only count home HE games.

no problem, at least someone commented but i think counting all the games is the way to go. in any event 6000/game is impressive. even second in HE is impressive, IMO

I agree, but figured I'd point it out before one of their fans did. I am happily surprised.

6k per game is great considering a weekend day vs. UMass-Lowest and a couple of Sunday games opposite NFL football.

great video sent by Coach York posted on eagleoutsider thanking the fans for their "unbelievable" support at the BU game and he said it was the loudest he has heard Conte in his 17 years here. Great gesture by a great man. how lucky are we?

Dumoulin has the inside track to a defensive defenseman role heading into camp. Last year, they took 2 solid defensive defensemen. It worked (they won gold), so I'd imagine they'd do something similar this time around. Dumoulin would fit this role.

I hear what you're saying on Dumoulin, but when I think defensive defenseman, I don't think him. What I mean by that is he's fully capable of contributing to the offense...it just doesn't show up in his goal total. He's the best of both worlds to be honest with you.

that wasn't close to as loud as Conte can be. The 1998 come from behind tie vs Notre Dame takes that prize IMO.

well, He :D said it so it must be true;)........... i'm sure he is embellishing it a bit but the point was that they did a great job and He :D took the time to acknowledge it IMO

I'm going down to Newport, RI this weekend and saw Nobles is playing at St. George's. I think I'll go check out Brandon Shea, from Nobles, committed for 2014. Has anyone ever seen him play? What should I be looking for?

right before the game started, the noise was deafening. during the game though I agree, it could have been louder. there were definitely parts were some sections were chanting and others not joining in. the noise right before the game started though reminded me of conte when we upset Duke.

Wait, there was a basketball game once where more than 20 students came?

Saturday night was impressive and one can only hope for it to be that rockin' at every hockey game but by far, the loudest I've ever heard that building was at a women's basketball game. They led #1 Tennessee (sp?) at the half and stayed with them well into the second half before eventually losing. I've been to most of the hockey games at Conte for the last ten years or so and nothing even comes close to the noise level that day.

anyone have any thoughts about who we will play out of conference next year? I know the beanpot counts, and we will probably be playing notre dame again, but will that game be on the road for a third year, or will we finally see notre dame at home? any teams from out west potentially? I think I heard Denver was coming next year right?

Re: Brian Dumoulin makes US World Juniors Team

as i have come to understand it, do not expect any marquee home games early in the season because of the threat of fog outs. York has found a silver lining and feels the road games also give the team early adversity and bonding experiences.

Re: Brian Dumoulin makes US World Juniors Team

Is anyone going to Dartmouth on 12/31 from Boston? Couple of years ago (07-08 season I think) I went up and wound up in a ditch on the drive home. Today headed up to shoot the game vs. Vermont and while there was thankfully a guardrail as I wouldn't otherwise be able to type right now, I'm stuck in Warner, NH waiting for a $44 cab to take me to where I can get a bus back to Boston. I am thinking I do not want to drive up there on New Year's Eve, but still want to cover those games.
