We've been spoiled but I was more impressed by the 4 sophomore dmen as freshmen and is there a guarantee he'll be here for more than a year? Not worth it.

Yes assuming he is around for more then 2 years. He will be better then Escobedo and Nicastro hands down.

I've been around hockey my whole life and knocking over a goalie, even if you tried your best to avoid contact, has always been a penalty. I just don't see the argument for that not being a penalty. I don't really have anything else to say about it. He knocked him over and got a penalty. Not calling that never even crossed my mind. I guess we're either seeing this video differently or we just have different understandings of what a penalty is.

I've been around the game a long time as well and I've seen worse contact with the goalie go uncalled. I can guarantee you that that isn't a penalty at the next level--guaranteed. My problem is with the mickey mouse officiating in the college game.

Clendening is going to be pretty good, not many Frosh dman look impressive especially on defense. This year he wouldnt hlep BC I agree but maybe in the longer run.

I think he is a good player, but he made the right decision for himself in ending up at bu. Sadly, BC has no use for overly offensive defensemen in the system they run. and when you add in the fact that he is a defensive liability - it seals it. bu's forwards are comically bad and thus a disproportionate amount of responsibility rests in the hands of the dmen, so Parker is able to recruit his choice of kids who want to play that style.

I was over on eagleaction.com and saw they did a feature on Brian Gibbons. Unfortunately, you now have to be a member to read their hockey articles. Can anyone cut and paste it on here? I read the ones on Tommy Cross and Cam Atkinson and they were well done.

Only if they wanted to be suspended.

Want to see 3 BC wins in 3 days, come to Conte tomorrow at 2 pm for BC women vs. Harvard. It is FREE and you bring your own concessions (and parking is open on Sundays) so can't be any cheaper. PLUS they have a skate with the team after tomorrow's game. If you have kids, especially daughters, how can you not bring them so they can skate with the Eagles including 4 Olympians assuming the coaches take the ice as well. We're talking gold and silver medals! Be there!

Watching teh replay on DVR right now, confirming what I thought. That 1 game suspension got Steve Whitney going -he was skating with his hair on fire last night.

That's good news, because with all the expected early losses to the pros next year, we are more than ever going to need Steve Whitney to live up to the hype that preceded his arrival at BC.

What an immensely satisfying weekend. Exactly the level or performance every BC fan knew this team is capable of. It's just kind of a shame the schedule heads into so much downtime now. It would be nice to carry this momentum forward. Makes for a happy holiday season though. And last night was the best game Steve Whitney has played in an Eagle uniform. Two gorgeous goals, worthy of the reputation he came to the Heights with. Let's hope it's a preview of coming attractions.

He can certainly snipe. Although he turns the puck over more than he should, his up side is tremendous.

It's scary to think of how good this team will be with Cross and K Hayes back in the line-up. Enjoy the rest boys.

the bc 4?

loled

sounds like a gang ;)

watching now on DVR, but two things from last night:

1. where'd that new pregame introduction come from? a new video right before they're introduced and then the PA guy actually showed some energy when introducing the BC players...

2. I believe former managers Justin Murphy and Kenny Ryan were sitting in front of me. Ryan was hilarious throughout the game, heckling JackPa and going along with the band.

The team speed really showed this weekend.. They created so much space for themselves.

Muse played out of his mind especially late Sat.

Kreider was all over the place too. He was awesome this weekend.

I'm shocked he didn't work in a line where you can buy his book. Makes a great stocking stuffer!

Also, I know not everyone likes Spaz as the head coach, but thought it was pretty cool when they showed him. He wasn't looking at first, but then had a great reaction.

With that mustache and his half-glasses he looks like everyone's Uncle Frank.
