BC Women's Hockey 2024-2025: Embrace The Chaos

LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we can figure out how to carry these Game One efforts through a full weekend we'll be a real threat. Little break now until the 11am game (lol) on Wednesday against PC.

Huge win. 2 pretty even teams. Northeastern is so average its scary. Wow have they come back down to earth in a hurry. BC is the most talented team in the conference and I don't think its that close. Campbell seems to be getting better and better. Lets pray Kinger doesn't screw this up

NU had Mueller for 5 years and lets be honest that was the reason why NU had all that success. To be fair BC had Carpenter and BU had Poulin so I guess it all comes down to who has the best player.

Beanpot and Hockey East will be fun to watch. NCAA tournament is a very strong possibility.

It's hard to handicap BC, BU, UConn, NU because I feel like the four of us are so close. Certainly close enough that if you don't bring your A game, you're going to get rolled. Case in point were the BU and UConn series, with BC looking great in game one and pretty poor in game two. We started out slowly against NU but really improved as the game went on.

1st goal for Maffeo and 100th career point for Newhook, who finally got back onto the stat sheet. Campbell continues to be absolute nails, .919 save percentage on the full season but since 11/8 she's at .948 -- absolutely killer for us right now.

NCAA tournament is a very strong possibility.

6th in the Pairwise! Who saw that coming?? Gotta keep it up though, we fell apart in the 2nd half last year.
 
Another nice effort late in the game. Aside from a stretch of about 10 minutes in the second period where we were playing awful that was a good ~50 minutes. We should have had about 6 goals in this one, PC goalie played great.

Yes very impressive win. I wasn't sure they were going to be able to pull this one out but wow did they show me something in the third period ! It was a fantastic effort. Here are my thoughts
  • Campbell gives them a chance to win every game. Nothing better than that.
  • The BC top 6 is the best in Hockey East and its not close. They can really take over a game when they want.
  • If 21 and 28 can get motivated to play one more semester of hockey than watch out. This team needs them really badly in the second half.
  • The D is getting better and better every game. 9-18-17-12-4 need to be playing the entire game. Stop the experimenting with the others. Not good enough.
  • I still think the PP needs some new looks. Way too predictable right now which means too easy to defend.
  • A Hockey East championship is very much in play. Its time for this program to go get one. Not going to be easy but it has to happen. Been too long.

Well that didn't last long. What a horrendous loss to HC tonight. About as bad as it gets. Hard to believe really. EMBARRASING. IMO just ruins the entire first half of the season. Complete disaster

Sorry but Kinger just cant win a close game. Panics every time. What a joke

Can someone please explain to me why 13 is on the ice like ever ?

Man I am ticked. will be back tomorrow good night

See Badger and Buckeye fans ... if you're going to troll in someone's team thread, this is how it's done. Still, was this really necessary? Even when they were saying positive things, the BC fans did temper their expectations by admitting they were a contender in a lousy edition of HEA. Is our lot really any better as we scrap for home ice in the WCHA quarters?

I was a bit snarky with my previous post but you mostly ignored that so good on you. Do love the "we could aim higher than 4th. That is gold(en).
 
That was one of the biggest gut punch losses in a while. Needed a couple days after that one.

Incredibly, incredibly frustrating game. To put up all those shots in the 2nd and 3rd periods only to not score and then have HC score so late was just terrible. What made it so bad was we started to allow ourselves to think NCAA At Large was a possibility only to lose another NPI destroyer. Now we have to a month to seethe about it.

Idk what else to say except that sucked and I was way more devastated over that loss than I was over most. It wasn't even losing in OT -- once we gave up the regulation win it was a disaster, giving up the 3 on 3 goal was just icing on the cake.

The good news is that by losing to HC twice, you've managed to make them look like a middle-of-the-pack team.
 
TonyTheTiger20 Oh my flippin lord can you imagine BC not getting an at large bid to the NCAA tournament this year basically because of 2 losses to freaking Holy Cross ? Unacceptable. lets hope it doesn't happen. If it does I will be back on my "time for a new coach" horse. Watch out
