If we're talking overall winning percentage, my money would be on the women, if only because their schedule will not be as difficult. But if "better season" is measured by how far in the NCAA's each team will advance, I would say the men, because their track record shows they're capable of going the distance.

The women will obviously have a better record but keep in mind too that to get to the FF in women's hockey you just need to win one regional game (ideally one you played at home).
The men lost a ton of firepower last year. My money is on the women. The men will make the tournament but probably won't be favored to come out of their region.

Although it's going to be harder and harder for teams that don't win the Hockey East to advance to the regional playoff. You have 50% of the slots taken by auto-bids, plus probably a 2nd WCHA slot and another 1 or 2 ECAC. If you have a situation like this year where RIT upset Mercyhurst in the CHA finals, and Mercyhurst continues to be a top-6 school, you could end up with 2 CHA teams. Winning Hockey East unless ranked in top-5 Nationally is almost imperative.

Good point. A top 5 ranking could be increasingly necessary for teams in any of the conferences to advance...with multiple teams from 3 conferences now forecasted to rank within the top 10, upsets for conference championships are not that unlikely.

And some of the outcomes of those conference championship games will be very hard to predict. With the regular season behind both teams, and everything on the line for the "underdog", a few so-called "upsets" are almost inevitable....which makes it all the more exciting for all involved.

In any case, the mood on the women's forum is typically quite relaxed. I know that there are all sorts of political and sports forums out there where the norm is to get belligerent on every other post, but this isn't that type of place. We are all fans of the kids who play the game. That's why we are here. Once in a while, someone will post something derogatory about a player. When that happens, you'll know it; you won't have to make it up.
People are seldom serious when they are being humorous, although from your post, maybe humor is a foreign concept to you. This isn't the first time that hyperbole has been used to describe a player on this forum, although I'll hazard a guess that Ms. Keller is more talented than the previous cases I remember. Nobody is getting trashed, and I doubt anyone else read the post in question and thought it was a slight of Ms. Keller.
