Americans-Canadians

Re: Americans-Canadians

Prob...but not for the next 10 days. Calgary Stampede starts tommorow.

I'm thinkin she'll be wall to wall Nut Buddies for the next week and a half or so. Fireman will be busy assisting the CPS with all the goins on.

Should be a ring-a-ding-dong-dandy!

Watch for me on T.V.!

Hopefully it won't be on the news. Wouldn't want to see ya with big bull horn stuck up your butt. :)

Had a house full of Calgary Firemen here a couple of weeks ago...no worries...you guys are in good hands!! Great bunch of men protecting your "fair" city!!! :)

Hey 5-4...What's with all the horses going down at the stampede and the girl getting injured? The media here is starting to run with it, and you know what group is leading the parade.

The young girl is in intensive care after her horse had a heart attack during a team penning event and rolled over on her. Godspeed Amy Carver.

One horse broke it's back in the saddle bronc and one other horse had a heart attack during it's morning workout. One of the outriders horses had a severe shoulder injury and had to be euthanized.

That's four animals down to date which equals last years total incidents when they lost one calf and 3 horses. Bad day for the Calgary Stampede.

I can only assume the group you are talking about is PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals).

With all the talk on the other thread about sexual charges and whatnot, I recall something that read about a little while back, I think it was in the digest. To be frank, American campuses are safer than Canadian campuses. Funny, I would have thought otherwise. Why?

I'm with ya on this one ... I would have guessed that Canadian campuses are safer than American campuses. That's a head-scratcher. Hey, preseason Hockey starts in less than two months! :D

I've had a skate going all summer, well since May, with a bunch of D1 players to keep in shape, and to get the new kids up to speed. There is a lot of shuffling going on in the league, along with some controversy. I hear new stories every week. I may be coming down to see the Buckeyes play in the fall. My son is playing in a hockey tournament near there, and that will be one of our outings. Looking forward to it. :)

That sounds great! I am sure you'll have a nice time down here. Got my passport card in the mail Friday so now I can head up to GTA and take in one of those CWHL games. I'd like to check out the Hockey Hall Of Fame, too as I haven't been there since 1999.

Why is it Can-Am instead of Am-Can? At least I was polite enough to keep it in alphabetical order. :) D

It's kind of like 'Plant-Lamp' store sounds better than 'Lamp-Plant' store. If you have ever seen 'Night At The Roxbury,' you probably remember that line from Dan Hedaya. I think Can-Am sounds better. :D

If you go to the Hall in November, you can maybe check out the first female inductees...Angela James and Cammi Granato...their induction is in November sometime.

Thanks for the info Seymore. I will have to check into that. That would be really cool. I'll have to get on the Hockey Hall of Fame website and keep an eye out for that.

Canada beats the US 1- 0 in Gold Medal U18 Mens action at the Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Piestany, Slovakia earlier today giving Canada it's 3rd straight Gold Medal and 6 golds in the last 7 attempts...

The only goal was scored in the first two minutes. I hear it was a highly competitive game with lots of physical stuff. All of the Canadian D range from 6'1 to 6'5. We're feeding them well these days.:)

Re: Americans-Canadians

Canada's goal scored by former Vancouver Giants standout Ryan Nugent-Hopkins who will undoubtabely become the most famous player in the NHL with a hyphenated name.
