Americans-Canadians

Re: Americans-Canadians

It was a good tournament, well, at least for the US and Canada. There appears to still be a bit of a gap between the North American countries and the Scandanavian countries. The best team won this edition of the 4 Nations Cup. Hats off to Team Canada. Quick question from us Ohio State fans ... can we please have Natalie Spooner back now (and Annie and Minttu)? :D

The Spoon is certainly a force isn't she? Canada dominated the game but couldn't score as much as they should have. Tapped that out the night before, the Minnesota goalie that came on in relief sure didn't look good. Funny, that kid from Bemidji got shelled in the Olympics too. Great goalies that couldn't handle the heat. Saturday was an aberration that is prevalent in hockey, especially women's hockey.

CanHockGuy, Enjoy your insights. We love "The Spoon" here in Buckeye Country, no doubt about that, and I was really happy for her and that performance at the 4 Nations. Maybe we will have another Buckeye playing for Team Canada in the next Olympics (in addition to Tessa Bonhomme)! I didn't get to watch the game Saturday on HockeyFast, but I gathered that Canada carried the play in the gold medal game just based on the lopsided SOG numbers. It's amazing that the game went into OT before Rebecca Johnston's game winner. Good fight by our US girls, but the better team won.
