Re: All Things DU XXV - Murray Up and Get The Chevy Out of The Repair Shop

As far as saying Mike Chambers article included a lie, it does. He published something that is not true or fact, which makes it a lie. As far as Gwoz is concerned, that is my personal belief ... he is sandbagging. Call if what you like.

And it's my personal belief you've taken leave of your senses, assuming, of course, you had any to begin with.

You still haven't provided us with your medical credentials nor given us the circumstances of your examination of Patrick's knee. Since your ignorance of these matters seems to be comprehensive, I can only conclude you're some kind of loon.

And your skills as an etymologist seem to be on a par with your skills as a medical practitioner--zero.

And your hysterical references to some recording which "proves" your dubious theories reminds me of a Kennedy conspiracist. With all due respect ma'am, you know what you can do with that recording.

Game tapes don't lie. Go to the gci.net site and check archived games and you can see it for yourself. As for the article and Chambers, he emailed me saying he did not see the game and "all of the info came from the DU coaching staff". That does make them liars.

His interview with Wiercioch today says he "briefly remained in the game", and then Patrick said he played for 5 minutes and then he said "that's it" and he got off the ice. Another untruth. He was on the ice right till the end of the game. When Haider announced that there were 40 seconds left in the game, Patrick was bringing the puck down the ice.

Believe what you want, but again tapes don't lie.

The key element of the definition of a lie is the "intent to deceive." Since you've ginned up this grand conspiracy (and you've got the recording, we all know it) perhaps you'd enlighten us as to what its purpose is.

And while you're at it, perhaps your famous recording and your interpretation of it, will shed some light on who actually was on the grassy knoll.

Here we are nearly a week after the game, and you're still slathering about some alleged plot to make your player look bad, and to cover it up, and to "lie" about it and to involve an ever widening circle of people in the conspiracy. Perhaps you might like to take just a moment to consider how really foolish that looks.

You're not a doctor and even if you were, you haven't examined the young man's knee, therefore your opinion about the nature, extent or even reality of his injury is so much piffle.

Ask the DU coaching staff. They are responsible for it. Again, tapes don't lie. Go to the gci site and watch it for yourself.

Ma'am, you are hopelessly out of tough with reality. You have lost whatever sense of balance and perspective you may have had. I recommend medical help. *sigh* I know, I know, the tapes don't lie.

You have lost touch with reality. I posted the absolute truth. First you blamed it on the Denver Post, then when they confirm that the info came from the DU coaching staff, all of a sudden I am the one who's crazy. Just can't admit that the coaching staff would give blatantly false info to the press, can you.

Let me explain something to you, dear. I haven't "blamed" anything on anything or anybody. I have not offered an opinion on this matter other than to point out you are staggerining around this thread like a five year old with his fingers in his ears shouting over and over again: "I can't HEAR you."

Listen to yourself: "I posted the absolute truth." You posted your opinion based on your viewing of your famous recording. Then you offered the further opinion that anyone (particularly the evil DU coaching staff) who disagrees with your analysis of the recording is "lying." And the evil DU coaching staff is continuing this conspiracy by now having a player "lie" to cover their original "lie." Why don't you turn these powers of observation on something worthwhile, like locating Judge Crater.

Um, smart lady, the DU games are not yet archived. Try again.

I hate to say this, but you remind me of Randy May. Only not quite as clever and not quite as personable. And that ain't saying much. Seriously, does it make you feel better about yourself to be obnoxious, rude, and bombastic? I feel sorry for you.

What it comes down to is this. There was a hip check on Wiercioch. One of several hip checks that happen in every game at most levels in the country and every other country in the world that hockey is played in. Plain and simple. Wiercioch played the rest of the game. Lafranchise had to sit the rest of the game and is suspended for the next game. When the penalty was reviewed after the game, there was no clipping or knee to knee hit, just a clean hip check. The refs are now suspended. The check was not deliberate, just accurate, thus the full flip in the air. While Wiercioch says, " I want to say it was a knee on knee. It was a bit of a low hit. He went down to try to catch me," Lafranchise will say otherwise. There was no knee contact. There was no intent. The only intent was to check an oncoming player. Again, what defensemen do. Wiercioch states he is injured. I hope he recovers soon.

I hate to say this, but you remind me of Randy May. Only not quite as clever and not quite as personable. And that ain't saying much.

So you're okay with her calling Gwoz and Wiercioch liars? It's my style in standing up for them that bothers you. Got it. I'm not sure about "obnoxious" and "rude," although I will cop to "bombastic."

And I feel sorry for anyone who thinks Randy is even somewhat personable.

Does it make you feel better about yourself to call someone obnoxious, rude and bombastic? Who even uses the word bombastic, anyhow?

You are extremely rude. Every post I have ever seen you make in response to someone who disagrees with you has been rude. To me, that alone is obnoxious. Suze pretty much said that she was ticked off, and as I read it, may have over-reacted, but you had to keep pushing and keep pushing. When I see a student in my class behave this way, I call it bullying. I'm glad you cop to bombastic, but in my opinion (which I fully recognize you may disagree with) it is also rude and obnoxious.

I don't think Randy May is somewhat personable. Although I have, thankfully, never met him, he seems like pretty close to the biggest a-hole I know of. And no, it doesn't make me feel better. In fact, I believe the first words of the sentence I used were, "I hate to sayit" or something to that effect. I hate saying things like that, but as much as I don't care to read criticism of DU hockey in this thread, I find the posts of Old Pio in response to Suze to be incredibly unpleasant and unnecessarily mean-spirited.

I suppose that I should not have bothered posting, because I know that I risk having my fellow DU posters think I'm disloyal or whatever. I guess in the end, I don't see any need to make personal attacks against a poster, even if she accused a celebrity (yes, Gwoz and Wiercoch are celebrities, however minor) of being a liar when I suspect that may be an exaggeration.

Yes, and you've made your displeasure with me public previously. And while I mourn the fact that you find me a "bully" and comparable to "the biggest a-hole I know of," I'm not so big an a-hole that I'll criticize another DU poster personally. My bona fides as a DU fan are at least as genuine as yours, and you might show a little tolerance of an old guy who sometimes speaks more dogmatically than is absolutley necessary.

You are absolutely right. I was also unnecessarily mean-spirited, for which I apologize.

And I will absolutely show tolerance for everyone who I believe shows tolerance for others. But since you chose to jump all over someone who disagreed with you, I see no reason to show that behavior tolerance. I do not doubt your loyalty to DU in any way. In fact, I will tell you that, by and large, if I actually thought that you were more obnoxious than Randy May, I would react the way I react to him these days, which is not at all.

(By the way, the veiled personal criticism alone showed that you are, in fact, more clever than Randy. Although I'm pretty sure you're not seeking my approval anyway. :))

Wow...I would NEVER insult a person by putting them in the same category as Randy May.

What I am seeing as an issue right now is that Denver has a HUGE series against North Dakota and there is fighting WITHIN about something last week. Last week is over and done with. Time to move on to the business at hand and that is a series against a team that I hate more than Colorado College.

At least I can have a peaceful beer with CC fans.

Now Suze, You have made your point quite well, as have you Old Pio. Lets get over this subject. We can only beat a dead horse so much.

I suppose that I should not have bothered posting, because I know that I risk having my fellow DU posters think I'm disloyal or whatever, but it really bothers me when I see the kind of behavior from adults that I would not tolerate from the 11-year olds in my classroom. I guess in the end, I don't see any need to make personal attacks against a poster, even if she accused a celebrity (yes, Gwoz and Wiercoch are celebrities, however minor) of being a liar when I suspect that may be an exaggeration.

You are calling someone obnoxious, rude, bombastic (LOL), a bully, comparing him to a little kid, etc...

Then you say that you don't see the need to make personal attacks.

Are you that confused that you forgot you just went off on someone? That you just made personal attacks, yourself?
