I'm looking forward to seeing PP the improve--lots of room for improvement there. This could add about .5 to our goals per game.

Overall, it's nice to be ranked #1 in the polls and the PWR, when there's still lots of room for improvement. It's so important to peak at the right time. I hope Gwoz & the captains do a better job of managing that factor this year than they have in the recent years when we've departed the NCAA's too early.

That CSB ranking would suggest both players would be late second round or third round picks when you add the Euros to the draft mix. I believe Zucker will likely move up to be a late first round or early second round pick based on his performance at the WJCs, where he showed multiple dimensions of play (skating, scoring, hitting, heart) as a 17 year old going up against 19 year olds. NHL scouts like it when 17 year olds can perform in that kind of high pressure environment.

Sam Brittian was listed as the #6 goaltender which is huge. I'd say all three players should go by the end of the Third Round.

Bennett's stock is really on the rise.

I believe Statsny & Carle were around mid-seventies at this point. Colborne was around late twenties.

The #1 votes seem almost completely reversed from the last poll, but as Swami would say, "there's still a lot of hockey to play."

#1 in USA Today poll by a landslide like the USCHO poll. Boys need to get ready for two huge series against Wisconsin and UND. They have plenty of time to fine tune certain elements of their game.

Yes, he could apply for a medical redshirt, he meets the requirements.

I hope he gets better and if he has to wait til next season so be it. Hopefully, he can recover as too many players have had their careers ended way too early. One that comes to mind was Brett Lindros, Eric's little brother. I recall he was like 21 when his career ended with the Islanders due to mutliple concussions.

That is terrible news. I had no idea it was this serious. I don't remember the details. Can you elaborate?

What you don't see from that video was that Marvin chased Genoway all the way down the ice from the Sioux blueline just to deliver the hit. He then had to sidestep around his own player to line him up right and then get him right in the back of the head with his stick/arms.

Marvin was given a 5min CFB penalty, and then an additional game suspension.
Genoway hasn't played since.

This kind of play make me sick. A one game suspension doesn't provide any deterrent. Start suspending guys for blatent intent to injure for 5 or 10 games and that will get people's attention.

Just my 2 cents..............

That really stinks!! They are really treating concussions far more seriously nowadays. This has probably effected his school work too. Let's hope for a quick return, I understand he is a special hockey player.
