rebump!! It's game day, come on people, let's hear it out there!! Here's a question, what is our history against UNO?, are they going to have a problem being without their coach? And finally, what is our health status?

Health - Just listened to Gwoz's Tuesday press conference on Pioneer Vision. He is getting the team back in shape after being off for two weeks. He indicated a player had to leave practice on Tuesday with an unidentified injury. He did not name the player or the injury but said it was related to getting back in shape. Sounds like the player tweaked something minor.

The first games back from a long break are always scary, IMHO. You simply don't know how much rust and sluggishness has accumulated.

Last year, we got totally smoked by BU and then tied Holy Cross in the Denver Cup, and we all can remember other Denver Cups where the team was humiliatingly rusty/sluggish/unmotivated.

I hope this year, the boys realize the good position they are in and the importance of starting the year with a hard effort in both games.

Happy New Year to DU posters and guests. I'm having some people over and we plan to watch the 3 Stooges marathon on AMC. At least I think it's 3 Stooges, it could be Industry on Parade for all I care, as long as the Crown Royal holds out ("from there the fish are taken to the packing plant.")

Anyhow, ya'll have a great 2010 and let's hope the Pioneers do as well.

You should catch a little of the USA/Canada World Junior Game at 8 pm EST/5 PM CSt on the NHL network. Two DU connected guys are playing for the USA - Matt Donovan on D and incoming freshman forward Jason Zucker.

I just realized how sick I am of 2009. Let's turn the page on that mother and get to 2010 with a quickness. If DU wins both games in the Denver Cup, it will foreshadow many good things for all of us.

Tough loss for USA last night in a shootout.

A DU sweep will balance out the weekend nicely. Lets hope the boyz are ready.
