Re: All Things Denver XXXII

I'm thinking George will do some shaking and baking for the upcoming games. Lots of possibilities for changes with Zucker gone, Any guesses on the lines?
Here's my best shot.

Doremus - D.Shore - Salazar
Mermis - N.Shore - Knowlton
Olzewski -Ostrow - Jackson
Larraza-Tabrum-Loney

I'd imagine Gwoz heads the list of people wondering what's up with the Czar.

Say more things like this :

5. Denver

I
t's been an up and down season for the Pioneers, mainly due to their struggles between the pipes. Sam Brittain has yet to return from off-season knee surgery but DU might have found something in Juno Olkinuora. The freshman has seemingly come out of nowhere and despite not owning the best record, has put up some solid numbers. This will be a very, very dangerous team in the second half.

USA/Denmark tonight at 8PM ET on NHL Network. Canada/Finland at 3:30 PM ET this afternoon on NHL Network.

Re: All Things Denver XXXII

Pios back on campus today? Practice tomorrow? Sam wearing pads? Hope we can get it together and start playing some more team oriented hockey in the second half.

Re: All Things Denver XXXII

Old Pio must be watching the Band of Brothers marathon.

You don't need a crystal ball. I got the complete set of Band of Brothers and The Pacific in the deluxe box for Christmas (with bonus video, of course).

Re: All Things Denver XXXII

Wonder if the Gwoz has given this advice to our boyz.
When the power play wasn’t working, it was more because certain players were trying to force plays that weren’t there, leading to poor shot selection and ill-advised passes. When the Americans(replace with Pioneers) kept it simple and took advantage of the shots that were given to them, they had success.
