Re: All Things Denver, XXVIII

Definition of warrior:
1.One who is engaged in or experienced in battle.
2.One who is engaged aggressively or energetically in an activity, cause, or conflict: neighborhood warriors fighting against developers.

Of course, that may mean nothing to the NCAA.

If Uof H adds hockey, DU would have to add surfing.:D :p

This was only the classiest thing in all of college sports. And now it's gone. For what?

Oh my God!!! Now I'm getting excited!!! A couple of things:

1- When does the national poll come out?
2- What about TV coverage for Direct TV, do we have a listing yet?

DU won't be ranked in the Top 10. Probably will be in the Top 15.

Fox Sports Rocky Mountain is #683 on Direct TV.

No official announcement on DU hockey schedule, but I have seen DU hoops is being covered so its probably just an oversight. I just sent an email off to FS-RM asking them about the schedule.

Greetings from Latvia:

Just saw Brock Trotter score his first KHL goal in a 6-3 Dinamo Riga win.

Brock was fired up by a pre-game visit from Denver Boone. Might be a picture or two in the next week or 10 days...

Go Pios.

Sveiks, Swami! Enjoy the Balzams and the pierogs. Please send me some photos from Riga to my email when you get back.

Must of been a huge surprise for him. You have to wonder after all the mystery surrounding his departure if he has good feelings about DU!! What in the world happened there anyway!!

Re: All Things Denver, XXVIII

Don't read too much into this but Rock is playing on the #1 line in the Isles camp right now. A couple of players are dinged up but it can't hurt his chances. Parenteau was given the day off. From Chris Botta's Islanders Pointblank blog. Isles camp is closed to the public so any camp reports come through the press or Isles site.

After four straight days of keeping his forward lines together, Scott Gordon is beginning to slightly mix them up - mostly out of necessity. Rhett Rakhshani replaced Parenteau on the line with Blake Comeau and John Tavares. The line of Josh Bailey - Frans NIelsen - Nino Niederreiter is still intact. Like the coach said on Saturday, the combinations still mean little until the team gets to the preseason games near the end of camp.

For those that were asking about the Polls.

USA Hockey today announced its 2010-11 schedule for the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's and Women's College Hockey Polls that will be released throughout the upcoming season. The men's preseason poll will be published Monday (Sept. 27) followed by the women's preseason poll on Tuesday (Sept. 28).

I've watched the 1st period and the Rock totally looks like he belongs out there!! du78, were you in attendance? Should I keep watching? (in other words does the Rock do something worthy of me spending 2.5 hours watching a pre season rookie camp game for a team I don't care about?)
