30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

Re: 30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

Here's some stuff I did find.
Belanger,Pierre 1966 - 68 (2 seasons) Games = 38 Goals-70 Assists-61 points-131
Oswego State Record Holder:
• Charter member of the New Hampshire Hockey Hall of Fame - 2002
• Eastern League’s Long Island Ducks and the Johnstown Jets
• New England Hockey League’s Manchester Blackhawks and Monarchs

And then he became (and still is IIRC) a referee. The "Pierre Stare" was interesting - as were his calls.

#10 today, going to have to go with Jon Whitelaw. He was a great all-around player: good skater, created plenty of offense, a dynamic player. Ryan Ellis wore the #10 his last two years, and Trevor Gilligan wore #10 too.

Re: 30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

#10 has been a hard number to keep for 4 years among the Cardinals, so I'll go with L.A. Ross.

Re: 30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

Joe Carrabs. While Whitelaw was a fun player to watch and helped the team to it's most successful era in history Carrabs was the best two way defenseman I have seen in a Laker uniform. He was as solid in his own end as they come and his 82 career points show he could get it done at the other end as well.

Number 9. Hockey legends are born for this number.

Re: 30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

Day late Number 10 - a forward and a defenseman...
Paul Matucci, smaller forward with a knack for scoring, line mate with Kurtis McLean. Graduated in 3 years, who knows how many more points that line would have scored in a fourth year together.
Jason Lumsden, big defenseman, played even larger. Always ready for a big hit, and part of the 2000 team defense.

Re: 30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

Number 9.... Peter Catalano, forward. Always dangerous, always ready with a joke and a smile.

Re: 30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

#9 day, gonna have to pick Chris Laganiere. He was a forward who, in my opinion, quietly excelled in his four years at Oswego. For Lags, consistency was the name of the game.

Sean Fitzgerald.......

Sean Fitzgerald was a left winger for the Oswego State men’s ice hockey team from 1985-89 who was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 1988. Fitzgerald ranks fourth on the Laker all-time scoring list with 236 points on 125 goals and 111 assists in 125 games. He is one of 13 players in
NCAA Division III history to score seven goals in a game, and ranks 11th all-time in career goals and 20th all-time in career points among all Division III players

#9 for Plattsburgh - Chip Grabowski ('79-83) with 174 career points , making him 14th on Cards all-time list. Successful restauranteur (?) who has a team award named after him. Riley Hill ('05-09), a fine two-way forward who also had over 100 points and was always on the ice in crunch time. Paul Kelly ('05-07), a Boston College transfer, who averaged 30+ points per year during his stay here.

With honorary mention going to Mike Daoust.

Agree 100%. He played most of his senior season with a shoulder injury suffered in the Whiteout game. He decided against surgery and a redshirt choosing instead to tough it out and contribute as best he could.

That explains the Lakers being so good back then...."Firefighting Majors"

Re: 30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

How about 155 points in 50 games? Played just 2 years - #8 Danny Brown.

I also enjoyed D-man - Jason Desloover and without Danny, Brendon Hodge would be the winner.

Re: 30 day countdown to the official start - you favorite jersey #

Gary Bowman simply because he was from Wyoming and he was a good guy. He was a pretty good player finishing his career with 85 points, 36 of them coming in his Sophomore season.
