2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

When Hillary Clinton said that she was still SecState, under oath, and covering her ample a*s furiously about a debacle that occurred on her watch. Four dead Americans, remember? Other than that, exactly the same.

A little surprising that Republicans' favorite General, David Petraeus, thinks Hillary Clinton would be a great president.

That's pretty relevant to the mess Neville's got on his hands. Is the general on record absolving Hillary on Benghazi? When was this election proclaiming him the "Republicans favorite general?" Is it even remotely possible the general is positioning himself for a job in a Clinton (shudder) administration? All interesting. But none of it related in the slightest to the crisis in Ukraine. You guys are absolute masters at diverting attention. Dodge. Duck. Bob. Weave. Prevaricate. Temporize. When, exactly, do you plan to focus on Ukraine? If ever.

What? Oh, you mean the aforementioned four dead Americans in the Ukraine?

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

Earlier today one of the ladies of the chorale suggested I list some options for the president in Ukraine. I listed a few. And not a single one of you libtards has had the cojones to discuss any of them. It's all burbling about Bush or Reagan or Smoot Hawley. With the customary level of smugness. But without any recognition of the problem in Ukraine. Evidently, the only problem you ladies see in Ukraine is how to spin it in favor of Obama. That just confirms the poverty and unseriousness of your outlook here.

What I think you heard, Pio, was that someone would have to be nuts to hope for a reasoned discussion with you, not that they would need to have them.

Another lunch period bon mot. I'm guessing most of you are wetting your pants that the world's finding out the suit is empty after all.

Not enough snarky doom n' gloom either. ;)

Lindsey Graham ✔ @GrahamBlog
It started with Benghazi. When you kill Americans and nobody pays a price, you invite this type of aggression. #Ukraine
Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi.

Someday we'll all know the end of the world started with Barack Obama and his failure in Benghazi.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

a. Vigorously enforce the Magnitsky Act to punish Putin and his kleptocrat buddies. Shut down their business activities in the US. Nothing. Nada.
b. NATO goes to a higher state of readiness Stupid. This is not NATO's problem. Ukraine should have joined if they wanted NATO's protection. Typical conservative bailing out people who won't help themselves (see Iraq)
c. Move US Navy units into the Black Sea Dumb. If nobody is talking US military strikes, why are we moving the Navy there.
d. Make it clear going forward that we will match or exceed any Russian financial offers to Ukraine. Already done. Try to keep up, will ya?
e. Make it clear going forward that we consider the government in Kiev to be the only legitimate Ukrainian government. Again, already done, hence Kerry's trip to Kiev.
f. Put Ukrainian NATO membership on the table once this crisis is over. Umm...shouldn't Ukraine have thought of this earlier? They can get in the back of the line
g. Establish a sanctions regime to punish Russia and Putin. Again, already in the works but you need to coordinate with allies to do so.
h. Make it clear the United States is moving forward with the Keystone
Pipeline and other measures to enhance our energy independence. And
that we will provide for the energy needs of our friends in eastern Europe. Unrelated. Keystone will take years to come on line. Right wing wet dream request.
i. Get whatever we can from the Security Council, even though Russia would
veto any resolution condemning them. I thought the UN was useless? Make up your mind.
j. Get the EU foreign ministers, plus the United States, to issue the strongest
possible condemnation of Russia, with assurances that we're prepared to
punish them economically. Once again, already in the works. Pay attention.
k. Expel Russia from the G-8 (they should have never been permitted to join). Under consideration as we write. Again, need allies to go along. Stop getting your news from Sarah Palin.
l. Send Rambo over there to teach the Rooskies a lesson once and for all. This one I can get behind. :D

My responses to your tough guy routine. Also your pathetic response to being called out on Bush-Georgia says all we need to know about you and your ilk, and none of it is good.

Another kick in the jewels for the empty suit. Good for the Senate Dems who voted nay.

The long shadow of Mumia Abu-Jamal, whose trial for the killing of a Philadelphia police officer became an international cause célèbre, fell over the Senate on Wednesday as lawmakers from both parties rejected President Obama’s nominee to head the Justice Department’s civil rights division.

That's the one place nobody wants you to be--behind them.

Let's just take one of your libtard responses. Since nobody's talking about military action, (the Russian troops already deployed to the Crimea evidently don't count) why should we respond? We have a world wide, blue water navy that can transit anywhere it pleases any time it pleases. Sending a carrier task force into the Black Sea would remind that tin horn that actions can have consequences. Very serious consequences. And might serve to cool his ardor for additional military adventurism.

There was another weak duck Democrat president who cancelled naval maneuvers in the Gulf of Sidra because Gadaffi had established his "line of death" 150 miles off shore. Another tin horn you presumably wouldn't want to irritate. A new Republican president sent the fleet into the Gulf and splashed some of Gadaffi's aging MiGs when they were dumb enough to attack our Tom Cats. Game over.

"Stupid. This is not NATO's problem." Really? Is that why Neville dispatched six additional F15 Strike Eagles to NATO?

I'm sure nobody will notice you edited my post to remove the word "could" from my list of possible US responses. You're evidently dishonest, too.

Weren't they already in the Black Sea because of the Olympics?

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

With not a heck of a lot of maneuver room. I sure hope the DoD knows what its doing.

We haven't done it yet. But you're right, that's a concern. I have high confidence in our people to be able to work that out satisfactorily.
