It won't even make it there. As of now there is no nominee. A spot on the ballot is being held in each state until after the convention when the vote is supposed to happen. Rules were in place long before this the courts have no say. The Democrats have the right to nominate who they want The GOP can't stop it.

All that is required is a name by the predetermined date. None of those dates have passed yet. If she is named by August 7th the GOP won't have standing to challenge. Marc Elias has been pretty clear about this.

Everything I've been reading by election lawyers, including GOP ones, says that the political parties have to notify the states the day after they nominate a candidate. So, if any state pre-printed a ballot, it's invalid, because they were not officially notified of the nominee. They would have to throw them all out and print new ones.

And all these lawyers said any attempt to bring that to court would immediately get thrown out.

Except Ohio. They have an August 7th deadline and the DNC was supposed to hold a zoom call to confirm the selection by the electors prior to the Ohio deadline. The Chicago convention is essentially the coronation.

**EDIT** My mistake, I didn't realize the Ohio legislature passed a one time extension to September 1st to submit the DNC certified candidate. So Ohio is not the problem, this time.


Also, per the FEC rules, Harris is the only one with access to the direct Biden/Harris fundraising coffer because she's still on the ticket. So another leg sweep of the Republicans posturing.

It's strange to watch Republicans try to argue that Democrats shouldn't have the right to decide who their own presidential nominee is.
