I agree that this needed to be done. And Joe realized this as well. He sees what is at stake.

In that sense, the speech showed that he truly understands the situation.
 
A couple days ago I read a BBC article where the new PM had talked about how apparent it was that he’s declined. Struggling to find words, talking extremely soft and mumbling, confusing peoples names, etc.

it’s time for Joe to say goodbye and pass the torch.

This has been the situation for the better part of the last four years. Only thing that changed is DJT took him up on his foolhardy dare to debate him in a trap setting (at CNN), and then established for all the world to see that "their Emperor had no clothes". In short, Magoo let the side down by blowing their carefully-crafted narrative that he was still on top of his game behind the scenes, like circa 2016. Embarrassing the elites, one thing he could not be allowed to get away with, and now you all act SO shocked to discover he was/is a puddle of goo. Kabuki theater for libs. LOL.
 
So he didn't have coffee and Mountain Dew? ;)

I havent watched but im guessing COVID hit him harder than he expected. Glad the whole ordeal is over and he can just rest up and do his job and forget campaigning.

Doug Emhoffs ex wife came out swinging against the GOP criticism of her not having kids.

"these are baseless attacks, for over 10 years since Cole and Ella were teenagers Kamala has been a co-parent with Doug and I. She is loving and nurturing, fiercely protective and always present. I love our blended family and am grateful to have her in it".
 
I'm watching the speech...I don't think it sounds that bad. Stutters a bit more than normal and is hoarse but Trump sounded way worse tonight imho.
