more than half of Democrats want him out. Mega donors want him out. Party leadership wants him out. It’s getting hard to see how he stays in.

Where the f*** was this push back eight months ago. Plenty of time to have those discussions then. Now seems like a pure panic move that will hurt more than help.

I don’t believe that for a second. It’s not really a fair comparison to look at Biden polls vs polls of a bunch of hypothetical people that haven’t even been campaigning.

Biden’s polling is absolutely horrendous considering he’s an incumbent, the stock market has been doing great, and Donald Trump is an insurrectionist, felon, rapist, and wannabe dictator.

if you’re taking actual candidates, then yes. Kennedy and West don’t have a chance at beating Trump. But I do think there are potential replacements out there for Biden that would completely **** up Trumps campaign strategy and he’s probably ****ting his pants over the thought.

The most popular player on the team is the backup quarterback, just like generic Democrat or generic Republican normally outpoll actual candidates. Because everyone can imagine them as their own personal ideal until they're forced to see action.

The fact that none of the hypothetical candidates poll above Biden right now is bad, because other than Harris and to a lesser extent Newsom, they've never faced a full court press of negative ads from the right. They should be benefitting from being on the backburner, but they're not.

The only thing I'll agree with is it's time to shiat or get off the pot. This twisting in the wind middle ground is the worst case scenario.
