If Biden gave a speech like that I’d be all aboard the replace him train. Woof.
Trump’s effort to convey vulnerability rang entirely opportunist and wholly insincere. It’s hard to imagine a near-death experience could be told in a way that evoked so little emotion.
Not long into Trump’s speech, the momentum slowed, and he started playing the hits, only it was the acoustic version. His whole performance felt unusually low energy and unfocused.
...one of the truly awful and self-indulgent political performances of our time. My brain has been bludgeoned into soporific exhaustion.
All political conventions are cringe-worthy idolatry fests. But even by those low standards, there was so much abject Trump flattery going on among his cultish speakers that if this had been Kim Jong-un’s convention, he’d have told his propagandists, “Hey, fellas, dial it back a little.”
The Trump campaign is going hard for the male vote. After hearing from Hogan, Kid Rock and White, I half expected a Call of Duty streamer to come out and bring down the house.
They all tried to convince us he was a teddy bear and not a grizzly. They tried to make us empathize with a person who lacks that impulse, who trades in deceit, cruelty and vengeance. But Trump couldn’t resist returning to his familiar darkness, thus wiping out the entire effort to rehabilitate — and hide — the real him.

1. The media, with low ratings, saw blood in the water after the debate and ran with sensational and inaccurate headlines to generate profit. They have admitted this.
2. That, in turn, influenced big money dem donors who then threatened to pull their big money because the MEDIA was tanking some polls.
3. That, in turn, worried party leaders who need that big money to win because ****heads like Musk can donate $45M per month to trump thanks to Citizens United, and those dem leaders expressed their concern about losing that money.
4. That, in turn, caused the media - again with garbage ratings bleeding cash - to report that party leaders want Biden to step aside (not because they don't think he can do the job, but because Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi (also being rich people BTW) were extorting them)
5. And that greed has led to the snowball effect we are seeing. It's all about money. Not democracy. The media and big donors are selling out democracy and the will of the voters over money.
Corporate media has failed the Democrats, but only temporarily, they'll be back on board soon once the "party of democracy" sheds its current "Weekend at Bernie's" empty vessel of a candidate.
The MSM reviews are in. Try as they might to make something compelling and/or humbling out of his recounting of the shooting, even they were largely unimpressed.

Corporate media has failed us.
Love the nitpicking, guys. Overlooking, in the meantime, how DJT can go for 90 minutes, largely off-script and without aid of a teleprompter, while your guy can't make it 90 seconds without stepping in it. LOL.
“In truth, Project 2025 takes many of the principles that have made this nation great and shreds them.”
An op-ed by former GovLarryHogan, who is Maryland‘s Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate:
Trump sounds like a ****ing moron when he talks
And he falls asleep in his chair after like 5 minutes even when people are praising him.
And if the only compliment you can give is the guy can ramble on like an diot for 90 minutes...well that is sad Chuckles.

I can also ramble for 90 minutes without visual aids if I'm allowed to just make sh*t up and lie with impunity.
