I heard a rumor that Gay dating sites saw quite the spike in activity in Milwaukee starting this weekend. And not just where Tim Scott is staying :cool:

A lot of Liberals on Threads are talking about how there is more people outside protesting than there are people inside at the RNC. But I bet the protestors aren't falling asleep like Trumpy!

I’ve enlightened three centrists this week With 2025.

but I’m tired and numb, so while I don’t want people dying, sympathy is short these days. And I know I’m not alone. It’s just exhausting, esp for women

Hey we havent fallen yet...that alone makes us better than most. We are also young though so we have time. If we survive this and the Republic holds we will have done something no one else has...hit 250 years. That is about it though for exceptionalism. But our arrogance is no different than the arrogance of France or England or whoever. Every country thinks they are the greatest...

The problem is, and always has been, Europeans felt they deserved to conquer the world. White people spread their insane narcissism all over the globe and a lot of places have never reckoned with it. We have never properly atoned for the original sin of slavery, England will never truly atone for basically raping most of the world and stealing/burning down their cultures, Spain legitimately murdered half a continent...well you get the idea. Germany at least put a line in the sand after WWII...something we should have done in 1865.

If The Centrists (aka The Old White Brigade) will just shut up and join the Liberals like they did in France we will crush Trump and the Cult just like we did in 2020. And then we can all revel in watching Rachel Maddow have to flip the script and pretend she always supported Joe and all is well!!

Speaking of Joe...he said in his second term he will push for true Supreme Court reform. He won't say he will pack the Court (yet) but he wants term limits, he wants a binding ethics code (not the crap there now) and so on. Between that and calling out Clarence Thomas during the Lester Holt pimpslapping (Biden owned him that interview) I think Joe is playing this perfect. Plus it ticked off Trump and he went unhinged on Truth Social! Apparently we are all Communists!

Ang and I had a conversation about this and we are of the same mind:

The person should not have died. I won't lift a finger to help his family, won't donate to a GoFundMe or even say anything really nice but still don't want him dead. The reason I love Biden is because he didn't need to call the family, he knew they would never answer and he knew that to them he was evil. (though the wife said she has no ill will towards Joe) He still did it because it is the right thing to do. According to Priceless though that makes Joe a Good Little German...which makes me wonder if Priceless understands WWII at all...

Think of it like Texas...I would rather the people not die (even evil Ted Cruz voters) of heat stroke or freeze to death because of how inept they are with their grid, but dont come running to me for help. I hope you are ok, but you made your bed now sleep on it. Same with most Red States.

This whole thing is exhausting there is no doubt. I am a political junky and I can barely stand this and we are only in July.

No we haven’t fallen yet. But since Reagan and the dismantling of unions and middle class, majority of this nation is getting hosed.

if people could spend a month abroad and see what it’s like to not go broke on healthcare and college and actually take a damn vacation , along with not having to work 5 days after pushing a baby out of a vag. It’s not a utopia but we sure as hell aren’t the dream anymore

the fact Biden is getting more progressive and people seem to be supporting more of it gives me some hope.

Yep. There is a reason Trump tried to pretend he knew nothing about it. The more people see it, the more they realize how screwed up it is. Even if they ignore the parts that don't affect them, there is something in there that will hurt them in some way.

One nice thing is that literally nothing will function. The whole thing will collapse. Bad news is that will hit all of us real hard.

Oh our system on most things is stupid. Even dumber is the amount of people who would benefit from fixing it who vote against fixing it because they are lazy and uninformed.

The nice thing is that the media is no longer the way people get their news...and the more people see the truth and not the curated BS the corporatists want us to see the more they realize that we are getting the shaft and that there is way more of us then there are of them.

neocon policies are better than nothing functioning. Like, the 10% tariffs and government spending going to nothing will cause a depression. I would take almost anything over that.

We do the same thing...but I can't leave until my parents die.

BTW I saw on Threads Trump's reaction to both Haley and DeSantis' endorsements. He looked happier when he got COVID than when she talked. (He smiled for Ronny Whiteboots) Way to go Nimrata you burned your reputation and career and all you will get was a meaningless speech at the RNC.

Trumps overall lead went from 2 points to 1. Also of note:
