Dozing Donnie and Sleepy Joe agree to two debates, bypassing the Presidential commission on debates.

No word on whether Hannibal Lector will be a topic.

See, I would have sat there and told him to rejoin the commission, which we used for 40 years, if he wanted to debate so badly. Ball is in his court.

No way he backs out...to do so would be seen as weakness. He would be mocked for fleeing debates against a zombie with Alzheimer's. Hard to be a strong man if you are scared of a skeleton with hair.

No he will show and he will make sure his fat face is the only one people hear. he is going to try and run roughshod over the moderators and Biden and make it a full blown circus...and the media will eat it up and give him all the free press he craves. (since he cant afford to buy ads)

Don't get me wrong, no one in his camp really wants him too (well the ones who actually have worked on campaigns) and they will do everything they can to constrain it and make it a chitshow...but no doubt he will be there unless for some weird reason he is in jail. He won't be (might be out on appeal ) and since he won't testify the debates will be his airing of grievances to the whole world.

No he was never going to do that and everyone knew it.

If he ducks the debates he loses by a worse margin than last time. His rallies are failing. He has to at least do the first one to make the claim you put forth. He will hem and haw, threaten and whine, but if he no shows it will be a disaster.

Cause Joe set the terms and conditions under which the debates would be held, Dozing Donnie agreed, but is now attempting some sort of powerplay of his own to demonstrate he isn't the small, weak, cowardly man that he is. By agreeing to this fictional debate, Joe cedes the upper hand back to Donnie, makes it appear as if he's the one calling the shots.

In whose eyes but his own? Joe will get way more positive press saying yes than he would saying no...and again he has no fear in this situation.

I guess this is the problem with the GOP...they all buy the narrative that Biden is a zombie and fears Trump. What is the next step when Biden agrees? They push for one on Newsmax? I think Biden would agree to pretty much any terms the best way to beat Trump is to let him beat himself.

I wish the gen pop would realize that the liberals who own the Times and WaPo aren't affected if Dump wins, so while they would rather not have an authoritarian government, that's better to them than raising taxes.

When forced to choose, liberals have always picked fascism over substantive change that threatens their privileges.
