I think people need to hunker down and realize this is still going to be a knock down, no holds barred, barroom brawl. Polling is super flawed, and while I'd rather seem my candidate up in the polls than down, trump outperformed his poll numbers in a lot of states in both 2016 and 2020.
Look at the 2020 Wisconsin polls done late in the race then. Almost all showed an easy win for Biden, and had trump and the republicans been slightly more effective at preventing people from voting, he wins Wisconsin.
I find it almost laughable how in the weeks and literally days before Biden made one of the best decisions of his presidency in deciding to step aside, almost universally on this space the notion was if he was forced out, the election would be handed to trump. While we are all happy with almost all of the metrics (fund-raising, polling, intangibles like the enthusiasm factor, anticipated further bumps following the convention) 3 weeks ago people wanted to ride it out with Biden. Now it seems some are talking about the possibility of a blue wave.
This is a long way of saying "do NOT count chickens before they are hatched." Keep working, keep talking to your family. Plan to do something to turn your vote into more than one by ensuring someone else votes who might not have. We've been given a second chance. Do whatever you can to make it pay off.
