2024 Elections: One Last Chance for Democracy

https://www.threads.net/@kamalahq/p...QGzdpkjDujpj-HWSVhZvG3_V30-I71GgNp27i_nMPHuWA

Q: You just said that there was a peaceful transfer of power after 2020. You didn’t concede, there was a violent insurrection at the Capitol…
Trump: What’s your question?

Q: My question is, you really think there was a peaceful transfer of power?

Trump: The people of January 6 were treated very unfairly. They were there to complain about an election. And it was the biggest crowd I've ever spoken to

edit: others have weighed in and it's similar to past results where we end up with D+5 nationally. Which is very blue.

That is actually close to the inflection point where the GOP gerrymandering actually hurts them. Briefly, you gerrymander by borrowing from safe seats to goose close seats. But if the margin goes off the chain, not only do you lose the close seats but all those safe seats you eroded become at risk.

It would be sweet poetic justice if the last gasp of the fasc and their Court is to give us large enough majorities that we restore voting rights and unpack the Court.

I didn't even think of that. Christ. You're right. I vaguely recall that tipping point at roughly 7, in general. But obviously it depends on each district. I just remember +7 as a line where it's like a titration and you just fall off a ledge.

Imagine if Biden or Kamala gave that speech? Press in attendance would be losing their minds whereas they basically gave Trump a free pass.

According to Greg Gutfeld Tim Walz is like John Wayne Gacy and the latest criticism of Kamala is that she didn't step in earlier when Joe's health was clearly in decline.

The next time the GQP talks about policy (real policy that has actually happened or would happen) I might be in retirement.

If Biden did that they would call for the 25th...for Trump they find the one semi ok point he made and focus on that.

That no one on his team stopped him is malpractice.

I don't know why everyone is ignoring the obvious, but the reason Dementia Donnie isn't holding any of his Nuremberg rallies is because he's afraid he's gonna get shot at one.

Bullies are always cowards at heart

Lawrence O'Donnell agrees with you. Very rare to hear a media member hammer his colleagues like this...

His job is safe so he is in the perfect position. Plus his hatred of Trump is very very high.

Journalists hatred of Trump should be high for all of them... Kind of his point there that they just allow him to lie and act like he answers questions when all he does is lie and they're doing the same thing they did in 2016. Show him live and playing snippets of everybody else as though he's the only one that matters because of the ratings. They need to be called out for it and I'm glad that somebody in the media actually did it for once

Why would they talk about policy when you can RTFM, it's called Project 2025/Agenda 47. :p

TFG was asked about Kamala Harris and her connections to Willie Brown, the former San Francisco mayor. TFG subsequently makes up a story about being in a helicopter with the man, and it had to make an emergency landing, all in a way to say that he knows Willie weally well. Willie responded to a question about it, “I’ve never been in a helicopter with him in my life.”

Why make a lie that can be so easily debunked? It plays to his base, but who else would believe him?

Oh, OK. That makes his "childless cat ladies" remark so much better.

Here's an idea. Someone should ask Usha what she thinks of the hillbillies her husband purports to represent, who don't approve of her husband's interracial marriage to her.

I'd like to hear what she has to say about Trump continually ridiculing Harris for being biracial when she has biracial children.
