My credit score drops below 700 and I can't get an airport security badge because I'm deemed high risk, meanwhile Mango Mussolini can't get a bond for $450 Million and he's going to start receiving secret security information briefings that he could sell off for quick cash.

Why is he allowed to run again?!?!

Because our system was not set up to handle someone evil cuckolding half the power structure into bending to his will. Because after the 60s the conservative movement stopped caring about policy and cared more about power. Because our hubris let us believe we would never let it happen here.
 
Bernie Moreno winning in Ohio is huge for Sherrod Brown. I know Democrats wanted him, based on their Super PAC ads “trashing” Moreno as a Trump apologist/cheerleader.

I’m surprised you all of people would make this argument. At their core, every Republican is the same. Whether Brown loses to Moreno or Dolan is immaterial. Brown loses, we’re in trouble regardless of it being an overt piece of sh-t like Moreno, or the more professional, high-brow piece of sh-t like Dolan. They both would vote 100% of the time for the Trump agenda or against the Biden one.

I agree. They're all the same. Nothing anywhere indicates anything different.

Bingo. And truth is painting people as Trumpers is problematic for them in the bigger elections.

Exit polling data showed there is a lot of possible NeverTrumpers in Ohio too...
 
I think the issue is that some of us are a little less confident in Ohio voters, who have consistently trended red for over a decade, to make the smart choice compared to voters in, say, Pennsylvania. I know Ohio recently turned out to support reproductive rights and legal weed, but they still have a red governor, red state leg, and red state Supreme Court.
 
Oh, I don’t trust Ohio voters at all. My viewpoint is it doesn’t matter if MAGA-lover Moreno is alongside JD Vance in the Senate, or Matt Dolan. The ends are the same for Republicans, regardless of the means.
I’d honestly argue we’re better off with the overt douchebags representing Republicans than “moderate” ones. Even people who don’t pay attention to politics, which is most of America- certainly no one on here- have a better chance of recognizing extremism in Trump/Moreno form, versus Haley/Dolan. If Nikki Haley had won the GOP nomination, she would have defeated Biden fairly handily- and proceeded to wreck the country. She may have helped Ukraine far more than Trump, which is very important, but that’s about the only daylight between the two. That Trump is neck-and-neck with Biden despite Biden’s dreadful polling numbers says a lot.
 
Trust the math...

R's are slowly, but steadily having voters peeled away through death and people being personally hit by their authoritarian ways. And no one is replacing those voters that are lost...

Just gotta make sure to get anyone and everyone who is eligible out to the polls in November...

MSNBC mentioned this, pointing to 2022. DeWine was a establishment type and rolled to a 25 point win. Vance won by 6 in a terrible Democratic year.
 
I don't care what (fake) polling says they are not neck and neck. And Haley couldn't beat DeSantis she wasn't beating Biden let alone handily. She supports a federal abortion ban the Independent voters would flee.

Crime down, job creation up, inflation under control, mortgage interest rates coming down, infrastructure bill beginning to pay dividends, the worst pandemic in a century that killed over a million Americans fading into memory, many thousands more students having crippling debt wiped out, no actual scandals but plenty of simple, common decency... If the mainstream media was treating Biden like it treated virtually every major political party candidate for president between my birth and the 2012 election, he'd be so far ahead in the polls and cruising to an election night like LBJ , Tricky Dick or Uncle Ronnie enjoyed in 1964, 1972 or 1984 that no one would be paying attention to the election. But I guess that would mean no one would be tuning in and seeing all those ads....

Frankly, if trump prevails in November I might actually enjoy seeing some media types rounded up and hung. They would certainly deserve it.
