I don't understand it because the Right has been loudly and actively campaigning on their Gilead Dreamworld for decades. Why did these women only catch on now? < Dangles baby over railing > "Hee hee, yay!" < Drops baby > "You monster!"

For a non-snark answer:

Many are likely directly affected. They had their own healthcare altered, or have friends/family who have had theirs change.

The current "peel-off" rate of R's in this manner isn't a massive rush from one side to the other. It's a slow, but very steady flow as reality hits home.
 
Before the Midterms I mentioned that R women dont seem to care about Reproductive Rights and Dobbs won't have an affect to which my SO laughed. When I asked her why she was confident this would be the GOP death issue she said that R women think this is only about Abortions...when they se everything else this affects and how it completely screws them over, and that it is just the beginning, they will flee the GOP even in The South. She has been rubbing it in ever since because we are watching it in real time.
 
Now that Bidens numbers aren't awful in the "polls" Nate Silver wants you to know polls don't matter yet. As opposed to last week when they **checks notes** were a bad sign for Biden!
 
They can say all they want but Ryan and the other Republicans who let Dump take over just look like this:

Oh no doubt...but I'm fine if they want to speak out now. He destroyed Ryan's career which makes this a win/win. Just like Liz Cheney!
