SCOTUS will go into self-preservation mode and rule against Trump on total immunity. To do otherwise would degrade their own standing within the government and be a galling rewrite of the US Constitution’s most dearly held sections from its original form - three equal, independent branches of government (even if only nominal at times).

The Righties on the Court are cowards and hacks. They'll slow walk everything to avoid ruling against Dump, and keep open the possibility of another Bush v Gore appointment if 2024 is close.

They can count. They know their days are numbered if we remain a democratic nation. They will keep the facade but they have to rip out the guts to keep hold of power.

Israel, Slovakia, and Poland are going through the same thing. They are just a few years ahead.

If I wasn't sure the SC would overturn it I would say "this is going to end well...".

Things are going to get ugly.
 
Ignoring that it'll be overturned in 2.8 seconds, imagine that it stood and Boebert and other MAGAS would have to try to win an election with no Trump on their ballot. Hilarious.
 
I feel much better knowing a bunch of left wing judges are going to decide elections rather than voters. That is what democracy is all about.

Love it or hate it...when Trump loses his whining will have teeth and not just with MAGAts.

The only way this ends up mattering though is if the SC allows it and they won't. They should because of States Rights but that never matters to them.

It may be crass to say so but maybe this needs to get a little ugly... Something needs to end this I don't know what that is...I don't know if anyone knows what that is. But the way he's going and the way the MAGAs want it to go needs to stop.

No I meant they should say Colorado has a right to make that decision because supposedly Cons love states rights...except when they don't.

I am not talking merit I'm talking an easy way out they will ignore.
