2023 - 2024 SEASON : Boston College

Interesting, I am curious why he is leaving as a starter. Closer to home ? Playing time next year ?

He was BC's 7th defenseman this year even though he was always playing as the extra player and getting quality ice time. 2 are leaving and 2 more highly rated ones are coming in. He may have still been #7 but BC also may use the extra skater as a forward at times next year.

Probably both. Not too many kids have the luxury of playing a half hour from home. I’m sure his family will like the convenience and it will make it easier to get to games. Likely he would be guaranteed more ice time there too.

Leddy is too good to be 3d pr or spare guy. Good luck to him. One thru seven, BCs defense group this year was as deep a bunch as I could remember.

Filling in the missing info here. Leddy transferred to Quinnipiac.

Developing into a solid defensemen, good for him and presumably will get more PT. We have a solid core of D men. Good luck to him

With season tickets on sale already, it appears 1/3 of the rink is blocked off for students. I would expect the rest of the rink to sell out as a good portion of it is already gone from current ticketholders. No mention of any OOC home games in the announcement, just that there will be home games against BU, Maine and UMass headlining the slate. Those of course were the other top 4 Hockey East teams from last season. On the road they have series at Michigan State Oct 11/12 and at St. Cloud Nov 1/2.

From time to time I run into Hegs and mention a trip to the Englestadt in North Dakota )) North Dakota has come here before but we never have played in North Dakota at their rink. That would be a great road trip to go on.

Anyway it’s about time we schedule another trip to North Dakota as it’s my one wish to visit before my sun sets. I am not getting any younger

Gentry Shamburger to the transfer portal. Not surprising to see him take a grad year elsewhere. Although his stats don't show it, he improved immensely especially with his skating intensity as the year went on with all the extra playing time due to the Vote injury.
