2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Emma Nuutinen from Vilma Tanskanen in OT, Lakers win!

That’s Nuutinen’s second OT goal vs Syracuse this year. I believe she also ended Ohio State’s playoff hopes last year in OT, while wearing a jersey a slightly different shade of green.

They sure finished them off!!

So a pretty easy win for RMU in the first semi compared to an OT battle for Hurst in the second semi. Which team has the advantage for tomorrow?

Pretty even imo. Most likely will come down to special teams. RMU has some dangerous scorers but Hurst has kept them in check this year, with the least goals against in the conference this year. Mercyhurst offense doesn’t put up gaudy numbers, the program rarely does, but with Tanskanen, Nuutinen, Hartwick, Knott and Dobson (and others) Mercyhurst has enough to win. Certainly, RMU does as well.

I am biased but I think this is one of the best rivalries in women’s college hockey. Too lazy to look it up but I think their last 8 contests against each other have been won or lost by one goal.

It's definitely a very classic CHA championship match-up! I'll need special permission to ever enter Pegula Ice Arena again, but go Mercyhurst!

So no ESPN3 broadcasts of any conference's playoff games? That's too bad. Obviously they did a bunch of regular season games. It would have been nice to get that kind of coverage for some playoff games too.

ECAC playoffs are on ESPN3.

Badger goal in the first minute, Beaver PP goal in the last minute. 1-1 after one period.

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

There is still so much shuffling that can happen among all the teams... None of the top 4 are locked into a quarterfinals opponent yet. Crazy.

God I'm so annoyed.

Baylee Wellhausen scores what I think is the first short-hander, given or gotten, in a Wisconsin game this year. 2-1 Badgers lead after two.

(Wisconsin also has two or three pipes; and there was a sequence in the second period where the puck deflected up over the goal from behind, hit the Bemidji goaltender in the back, fell to the ice, and somehow didn't go across the line. C'mon, man!!)
