2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Wisco fan should be rooting hard for RMU. If Mercyhurst wins the Badgers are almost assured of getting OSU next week.

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

TTT, not sure but IMHO, HE had a very weak year.....no team is really outstanding, with respect to Maine and Providi.......my point is that as in years past, BC had no real challenge week in, week out, so come a tight situation, they didn’t have a huge well of experience to draw from this year’s games.....we both know Burt could have an off game but usually the Twain never met...bad BC, strong Burt, or visa versa......breath deep and be glad you don’t root for UNH, who showed absolutely NO growth from October to March!!

I see you didn't watch literally any BC games this year lol

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Close games maybe but we both know they’re not the same as top 8 competition every weekend.....sorry but I just find HE teams so far below the needed standard for women to attract non-women hockey fans! Obviously they aren’t USA-Canada, but I’ll bet even Korea wouldn’t be a blowout......

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Baylee Wellhausen scores what I think is the first short-hander, given or gotten, in a Wisconsin game this year. 2-1 Badgers lead after two.

(Wisconsin also has two or three pipes; and there was a sequence in the second period where the puck deflected up over the goal from behind, hit the Bemidji goaltender in the back, fell to the ice, and somehow didn't go across the line. C'mon, man!!)

Maddie Rolfes surprises Dowhy from a bad angle, and then Wellhausen completes a hat trick with an empty net goal. Badgers win 4-1.

Colgate taking Cornell out to the wood shed.

Colgate 4 Cornell 1 in the 2nd period. Total domination.

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Though the shots are only 15-12.

If you are not watching the game that statement seems false, however if you are watching Colgate is one scary team and Cornell is having all they can do to keep the score where it is.

Colgate is good, but Cornell is also doing a good job of making Colgate look good in the second.

Re: 2017-2018 D1 Women's Hockey Scores

Mercyhurst up 4-2 on RMU. Colgate looks pretty likely to beat Cornell.

If those scores hold, we've pretty much got ourselves a bracket:

Ohio State @ (1) Wisconsin
Mercyhurst @ (2) ECAC Champion
WHEA Champion @ (3) ECAC Runner Up
Cornell @ (4) Boston College

Unless Minnesota wins the WCHA, in which case you'd have

Minnesota @ (1) Wisconsin
Mercyhurst @ (2) ECAC Champion
WHEA Champion @ (3) ECAC Runner Up
Ohio State @ (4) Boston College

EDIT: Unless Maine wins Hockey East, they can't go to Colgate so Maine would go to Clarkson and Mercyhurst would go to Colgate no matter who wins the ECAC.

Does the length of the bus trip matter at all, or is it just a binary 'bus/no bus', and then (I gag as I type) 'bracket integrity'? That is, Northeastern or UConn short bus trip to BC vs long bus trip to Clarkson, for example.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Cornell that is UNBELIEVABLE

If Cornell can complete the comeback, Boston College would get the Hockey East champion in their NCAA quarterfinal next week. Wow, that is a wild turn of events for BC...
