That's gotta be tougher mentally than in a tight game, doesn't it? Big lead, possibility of not focusing 100% on pitch location because 1 batter won't make or break the game... /thoughts from my couch.

Plus he had to spend a lot of time thinking about it while his team hit. I think it is tougher, yes.

Something tells me Arrieta doesn't have too many problems with losing focus. I am pretty sure the guy is a machine. If I met him in a dark alley, and he gave me that cold death stare, I'd give him my wallet.

Curt Schilling was fired from ESPN; posted a bigoted anti-trans meme to Facebook and the Worldwide Leader thought he went too far.

Colabello (TOR) 80 games for PED. I guess he wasn't better than the Twins thought.

Good to see the Twins wasting no time getting blown out by WAS. Now I don't have to wish I was able to watch the game.

Replay in Sox - Astros game is going to overturn the neighborhood play at 2nd.

Can I hate replay?

Brandon Phillips got drilled in the finger by a Noah Snydergaard fastball last night.

To be frank, I'm surprised Phillips' finger is not broken and still attached.

Fun stat:

Andrew McCutchen hit 3 HR in 5 at-bats on Tuesday.

The Atlanta Braves have hit 3 HR as a team through 547 at-bats this season.

Arrieta's streak of 52 and 2/3rds innings of scoreless ball at Wrigley has come to an end today. It was the second longest streak in MLB history. Also his streak of 24 quality starts in a row ended today. MLB record is 26 games.

That quality start statistic is as useful as my appendix. Cubs up 7-1. Jake soon to be 5-0.
