Scratch Skidmore. Rob Hutchinson, a member of the Skidmore HOF and coach at Trinity-Pawling prep, was hired today.

Did they have an assistant in waiting or are they going to have to start a search form scratch this late in the game?

Hopefully they'll hire someone capable of instilling some discipline in the team.

But, despite my dislike for his team's philosophy, serious congratulations to Coach Carriere on the new job.

its not what you know its who you know.........but he did put his time in at Buff st and a few other places

Coach Carriere was always nice to chat with before the games. He was very respectful to me anytime we chatted. The product on the ice, meh not so much. But good luck to him and I wish him well.

Wouldn't they just name the assistant coach as the interim coach for next season at this late date of the summer? Same situation at Marian I would think? Where else are there coaching spots not filled yet?

Just announced today that Castleton College, part of the Vermont College System, has been renamed Castleton University, in light of its growth of programs and infrastructure, in a move approved by the VCS. It could/should allow for improved recruiting for it's various sports programs, including hockey.
