2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

I had to double check. What kind of sadist puts a game at 1 on a Monday afternoon? Heck, most of the parents couldn't even make that game. Even if it is a Federal holiday I can't imagine the crown would fill a phone booth.

I thought UW's Friday's at 2 pm were bad.....at least I can finish my pole now. We know the attendance was at least 1.

I know what you meant but still...I think the crown for some of the BC folks could fit in a phone booth. ;)

No, I am a royalist & still angry at all you treasonous scum. Let the crown fill all womens arenas!! :) thanks for the catch.

What would the reaction be if they put the boys on at 1 on Monday?

"Hey, I got a great idea, lets have the women play on a Monday afternoon" - Rachel Phelps
I assume she wants to move the team to Miami.

Mercyhurst jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Northeastern got a goal back on a 5-on-3. Lakers up 4-1 at first intermission.

4-4 now, and Mercyhurst lucky not to be trailing 5-4 after a Coyne shot trickles through to the goal line before being cleared by a defender. Neither team evidently knows how to play defense.

I wish collegehockeystats.net would list the women's scores before the men's scores each day instead of the other way around. It would make more sense because the women's games typically start before the men's games each day.

Yeah...that scrolling is just incredibly difficult...

The games are listed chronologically so it doesn't make sense to list the men's games before the women's games for that reason meathead. Sorry that was too tough for you to figure out on your own.

As it stands now with the men's games listed first, the message is the women's games are less important or less equal to the men's games. It obviously makes sense to list the women's and men's games separately but I just think it makes most sense to list the women's games first each day. The site uses blue for the men's games and red for the women's games so it's as close to the old blue and pink stereotype for boys and girls as you can get already. I honestly don't think that's necessary either. I think we all can read the words without any color coding to differentiate between the two genders.

It's not complaining. It's simply challenging the existing format with basic logic. I guess brooky feels the men's games are more important or maybe he's one of those guys that uses the "well it's always been this way so why change it" way of thinking. That's just old and lazy and it's the type of thinking women's hockey has been up against for years.

Yep...something to complain about for sure...

Scoreless in Bemidji after one. Shots are about even...low shot count per live stats...under 10 apiece.

No...but I knew from your first post that would be your premise.

Wrong. My premise is simple: If you're going to list games chronologically then list them chronologically as a group which means it makes most sense to list the women's games first. Very simple. To not do that allows room for interpretation as to which group is traditionally more important.

Annnywayyyy ... if you're done NOT complaining, you can select only the NCAA Collegiate Women's games, which is what I do anyway so that I don't have the D-III women's games mixed in, and it is easier to find all the D-I women's games.

Nice band-aid. My point still stands.

Then why complain about an implication that someone believes the men's games are more important as a reason for the order of listing?

It's no surprise you would incorrectly interpret it that way.

Send CHS an email or something. This is the scores and results thread.

Back to scores...
Northeastern gets the only goal of the third period and defeats Mercyhurst, 5-4.
