2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Maine is off to a 2-1 lead over BU about 9 minutes into the 2nd period.

TTT won't think it's funny but hahaha on the live video the score shows up as Maine 2, BC 1!

This is going to sound silly, but... can someone let me know if there will be women's hockey on TV this weekend? I got a Nielsen diary thing and I would like to boost the ratings. lol

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Clarkson 2 Vermont 0 after 1 Period
Howe (PP) and Pozzebon with the goals
Clarkson playing Johnson in goal
UVM playing Depew in goal

Lindenwood up 3-2 on NU late

BC could go undefeated and still not be #1 in the PWR the way this is going

Clarkson 3 Vermont 0 after 2 Periods
Howe (PP), Pozzebon and Gabel (PP) with the goals
Clarkson playing Johnson in goal
UVM playing Depew in goal

Clarkson 3 Vermont 0 Final
Howe (PP), Pozzebon and Gabel (PP) with the goals
Clarkson Johnson in goal 15 saves
UVM playing Depew in goal 34 saves

Johnson had a couple of nice saves.
Depew faced a lot more rubber and had no chance on any of the goals.

I thought UVM 5 on 5 had their chances and at times controlled play.
For Clarkson all their goals came on the PP and right after a PP expired.
I thought Clarkson was a little sloppy in their passing and stick handling.

Tough loss for Penn State at #8 BU, 3-1.

Kind of wish Brandwene would let Whitlinger handle these tougher series herself (she held Minnesota to one goal last weekend), and give Ehresmann time in net with the rest of the schedule, but I understand his reasoning as Ehresmann will be the #1 goalie next season.

All in all, not a bad showing at all for Penn State, and they look much improved already over last season.

RPI completes the weekend sweep with a 3-1 win over RIT.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Wow, CHA's Lindenwood goes out east and gets 4-2 wins over Hockey East powers New Hampshire and Northeastern. Might Coach Crowley have exaggerated just a wee bit when she was saying how strong her conference is this year? Or is Lindenwood just that good?

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

At the end of 2 periods, the Gophers have 11 goals on 20 shots. If the Timberwolves could shoot like that, they wouldn't be drafting in the lottery every year. These games aren't fun for anyone.

There should be a 10-goal rule. Neither team is going to learn a thing in a game like that, and it sure isn't fun to watch - what's the point? I remember in Penn State's first year, when they played a D3 team (a guaranteed win) and won 10-0....extremely boring game, absolutely meaningless, and players didn't even celebrate goals after awhile. I'd rather watch a hockey game.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Frosty has called off the dogs - the Gophers have pulled back and are dumping the puck and allowing StC to bring it back out. It's still not fun, but I'm glad they're not trying to embarrass the Huskies.

Hensley is an amazing goalie so they are a dangerous team to under estimate. Looks like they finally figured out how to put the puck in the net though.
