2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

At the end of 2 periods, the Gophers have 11 goals on 20 shots.
NCAA-record 8 goals in a single period (second period). Four shutouts in 4 games. Power play for both games this weekend was a combined 5-for-5.

Oh, and Hannah Brandt lit the lamp 4 times - once on the power play, twice at even strength, and a shorty.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

BC's season continues to get worse despite not having played a game yet this weekend...
It's too early in the year to waste any energy scoreboard watching, or at least agonizing over the scores one is watching.

Hey Clarkson fans, what's up with Erin Ambrose? She's been missing from the lineup...

Frosty has called off the dogs - the Gophers have pulled back and are dumping the puck and allowing StC to bring it back out. It's still not fun, but I'm glad they're not trying to embarrass the Huskies.

Between the 11th goal at 16:21 and the end of the second period, the Gophers had at least three glorious scoring opportunities and instead just skated behind the net and passed it back out to the point. The third was played almost at running time; I think there were a total of four whistles. The officials stopped calling icing altogether and Peters dropped the puck into traffic a couple of times rather than freeze it.

That the Gophers have scored more short handed goals than power play goals allowed would be more impressive if they didn't have more short handed goals than total goals allowed.

As a Minnesota fan you have the luxury of not needing to worry about scoreboard watching lol

I have whiplash from trying to keep up with the scoreboard last night! Missed Potomak's goal because we we still watching the replay of the previous one.

I don't even know, man, defense is on the struggle bus right now.
Don't worry. You can simply outscore all but a handful of teams in the country until you get it figured out, and you won't play any of those teams for months.

3-0 BC after 1; that was a much sharper period by the defense. Very happy with that.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

BC wins 7-3, much better than yesterday, two of the goals were really, really soft from SLU that Burt would not have given up.

I love Switaj but she has really stuggled in the few games she's played. She looks so small in the net.

I had to double check. What kind of sadist puts a game at 1 on a Monday afternoon? Heck, most of the parents couldn't even make that game. Even if it is a Federal holiday I can't imagine the crown would fill a phone booth.

I know what you meant but still...I think the crown for some of the BC folks could fit in a phone booth. ;)
