HU over QU 2-1 in OT.

(one down, five to go . . . top-tenners, that is)

BC beat PC 4-2 with an empty netter.

Shots were 48-14. I'm not really sure what to make of BC right now but this game should not have been close.

Can someone confirm the Wisco vs. MSU score? Live box keeps going back and forth between 1-0 Wisco and 3-1 MSU?:confused::confused:

EDIT: Per twitter 1-0 Wisco is correct

Yale upsets Clarkson 3-2 despite being outshot 45 to 30.

Yale played a good game and deserved the victory. They pressed Clarkson all over the ice and gave Clarkson fits.

I'll have more to say later but Ohio State played the cheapest, dirtiest game I have seen in a long time. pgbohio, you're going to have to come to grips with the fact you root for a bunch of goons.

I was kind of partial to the slapshot that was well after the whistle by the Ohio State player...Forget who it was but that should have been a penalty and it lead to more shenanigans.

WOW! Looks to be an exciting finish to the end of the season based on last weekend and 1/2 of this one. Lots of tight WCHA (and CHA-although not quite as relevant to the pairwise), upset in ECAC, and BC playing another game below expectations. Can't wait for tomorrow's games to see if UND and OSU can repeat. Also hoping to hear more about the MN/OSU game.

Questions I have:

Can Quinnipiac beat a ranked opponent down the stretch?
When will the BC offensive juggernaut return?
Who will take 4th and home ice in the WCHA?
What happened to what appeared to be a rising program at Vermont?
Will Mercyhurst ever score more than two goals again?
Upsets in Beanpot??

It was an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on OSU, and Minnesota's Garzone got the matching minor for roughing. That led to the 4-on-4 in which Taylor Kuehl knotted the score.

Logged on hoping to find the score of tonight's game. Instead I found your little day brightener. I still know nothing about the game itself, but I do know a cheap shot when I see it. Your post certainly qualifies.:(

**** off. Your team was called for one major and deserved at least one more plus a misconduct on MacKinnon for the slap shot well after the whistle. If you don't want someone calling your team a bunch of goons, stop rooting for a bunch of goons. Their behavior tonight was inexcusable.

MacKinnon (you know, the player that instigated the brawl with Bemidji State) got an unsportsmanlike penalty for taking the slap shot but it really deserved a misconduct as well. It wasn't even close to the whistle and she rifled it right at Leveille. In the ensuing scrum, Claudia Kepler clocked someone in the helmet with her stick, which wasn't called. OSU should never have come out of that incident with the calls even. Really, they should have received both the extra minor for the slapshot and a high sticking major to Kepler. That they were able to score 4-on-4 happened only because Storey and Gibbs were a pair of gutlesss ****s.

Thank goodness Rachel Ramsey, in her smartest play of the evening, had Milica MacMillan in a bear hug by the time of the high stick because otherwise MacMillan might have done something to get herself suspended. And I wouldn't have blamed her.

Ok thanks, I had thought it was matching roughing minors. As Eeyore explained there was the scrum that followed and no way that should have been been a even-up penalty situation. Even more disappointing is the fact that this was occurring in a women's game. One of the reasons I enjoy the women's game is there isn't, for the most part, these type of issues coming from roughness and unsportsmanlike play.
