6-1 final SLU over Mercyhurst...Outshot 41-22.

Of note in the other early game is that I believe Hannah Brandt now has 201 career points with 3 points this afternoon.

SLU looked fast when they were here but that is still a surprising score.
Hanna is running at something like 2 pt. per game so there could be another hundred added to that if she can keep it going at that rate.

Cornell earns a hard fought 2-1 win over Dartmouth, despite only having 7.5 forward dressed for the game. Taylor Woods took a couple shifts at forward but played as a defenseman most of the game.

Union and RPI skated to a 2-2 tie at Messa Rink.

Union was up 2-1 in the second, but couldn't hold onto the lead as RPI evened things up in the 3rd..... with Brown beating Yale, Union now resides in last place in ECAC Hockey.

UMD beats Mankato 12-0... Shots on goal were 56-9. Bulldogs were 5-11 on the power play and all but three skaters registered a point with 7 registering more than one point

I think what this season "means" for Mankato is they are long overdue for a new coach for next season. Getting progressively worse is not the right direction to be going in.

So the fact that they are starting 12 - TWELVE - freshmen this year should not be part of the equation? You simply have to win more this year than last on into infinity?

No Fulton, Saulnier, or Bunton in Cornell's line up for tonight's game against Darmouth.
Do you know if/when any of them are expected back in the lineup?

Unfortunately, I don't have a clue. Saulnier was injured partway through last Friday's game against Yale. I couldn't tell exactly what happened but she slowly skated of the ice in the middle of a shift. Not sure why Fulton and Bunton didn't play yesterday.

SLU scores 3 goals in the 3rd period including 1 ENG

SLU 4 Mercyhurst 1 Final
Score was not indicative of closeness of the game.

Yeah, except MU looked like they were in need of some drills on how to hit the net with their shots, especially early on.

BC 2 Quinny 1 Final
Only managed to watch the third period because I was at a wedding. From what I heard from wwhyte the first was even-ish but then BC took over the rest of the game with possession. QU did a good job clogging up the slot, which is typically where we try to get the puck and otherwise didn't try to take many low-percentage shots.

Good win. QU definitely has a stifling D style.
