2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Indeed! I love seeing the legends have a good masters weekend. If you can't cheer for somebody in the AARP golfers club to make a run at a late green jacket, you're probably a communist and cheering for teenagers.

Agreed. I love it.

Schwartzel with a hot start today! And then a bogey!

-4 is the low round so far today.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Dustin Johnson was in control....And then goes bogey, double bogey and -4 is the lead.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Nobody. Jason Day all alone at -6. :p

Tianlang Guan, the 14 year old makes the cut. He's a lot better than I was at 14.....or now, for that matter.

Tiger has them right where he wants them, but I hope Freddie stays atop the leaderboard through Sunday.

The kid looked good, even making the cut after being penalized for slow play.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Freddie is not my favorite golfer, but as soon as I typed that I changed my mind.

I play more than I watch, but I am keyed into this weekend.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

I'm sure if it was anyone but Tiger they would have assessed a 2-stroke penalty rather than a DQ. And I'm sure ESPN would have all their analysts on to tell us how fair the decision was.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Interesting. Woods was nearly disqualified for an innapropriate drop on 15 yesterday. Apparently since his drop was unknowingly against the rules he will not be disqualified but instead has been given a two stroke penalty. Apparently it was a viewer who noticed it on tv (not even the officials caught it initially) because of this that is why the 2 strokes instead. THis new rule of 2 strokes instead of disqualification was put in place last year

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Golf Channel is saying since Tiger took the drop to get an advantage, he should get a DQ.

Tiger is now the SEC of golf. Commits a major violation, gets a slap on the wrist.

"Ignorance" is not supposed to give you a pass- even under this new amendment.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Strange that in every other media outlet there seems to be disagreement among the analysts and former pros about the ruling. Some say it's fair, some say it isn't and still others say he should withdraw. However ESPN analysts uniformly agree that the ruling was 100% fair. Weird...
