2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

My point mostly being that it felt like Brooke played for like 7 years, and now there's another one
We know; Brooke played against us at least four games a season and was one of the all-time great Gopher killers. Brit, on the other hand, scored twice against BC in the FF in Duluth, so you should remember her.

... I don't feel comfortable posting results from games outside the WCHA.
 ... ummm ... If a score is interesting to you, post it. If not, don't. Comfort has nothing to do with it.

UNH 3
Syracuse 2

As with Friday's tilt with RIT the Wildcats outskated and outshot their opponent for much of the game yet found themselves trailing. Unlike Friday, they came out with the W thanks to three unanswered goals.

FINAL - North Dakota 6, Lindenwood 1 ... shots on goal were 75-9
WOW okay North Dakota, I see you.

I think perhaps the reason I feel like Brooke played for like 7 years is because I may have thought both B. Ammermans were the same one!

It's not often that you see jerseys where they need to go to the third letter of the first name.

And because Brit isn't that big and Ammerman is already a fairly long name, that "BRI" seemed to often be disappearing around the side.

So, I guess Arlan and Candace will be glued to the Bemidji - RMU scoreboard on Satuday.

Clarkson 2 Syracuse 1

Carley Mercer with the 2 Clarkson goals.
Syracuse scores in the 3rd period on a 5X3 PP

Perhaps the biggest shocker of the night:

Mercyhurst 5, Providence 0

Not so much which team won, but the score - especially on home ice...

Sometimes the final score does not tell the whole story. Looking at the Box scores of the RIT-UVM (6-0) and MC-Prov (5-0) games suggests the games might have been closer than the final score indicates. In both games the shots were fairly even at 30 plus for each team.

Regardless of shots, any time one team pots that many goals over the other it is a blowout.

Yes the game ended a blow out and as an early season game a concern but not an elimination. Like games we have all watched once a team gets a few goal lead really hard to right the outcome - especially when you are playing a team with talented forwards like Mercyhurst - "blood in the water" for forwards/sharks.

The shots were even. After 1st 1-0 Mercyhurst. Credit Mercyhurst for 4 in the 2nd 3 PP (2 on a 5 minute major) and 1 SH. The 3rd was 0-0. It is early PC, will find strong goaltending (3 played yesterday) and score a lot more. They were 0-9 on PP after bringing in a 33% PP success.

The only good news is they play again today at 1 PM.

Mercyhurst did more things well than PC hats off to going on the road and brining it!
