They didn't do much to ease the concerns about goal scoring but the D was great and all three goalies were impressive. The freshman Foss held of the extra attacker at the end and made a spectacular save.

Japan 4, British Columbia 1 at Ridder Arena on Sunday.

Game report at UBC website includes a photo of a very nearly empty Ridder.

MSU-Mankato 4, UBC 1 on Monday in Mankato.

Union has scored three goals already versus Providence. That's about an average month's worth. Dutchwomen lead PC 3-1 in the third.

That's something you don't read every day. Although I guess it was 14% last season, which is higher than I'd have guessed. I guess it was in the ECAC where the Dutchwomen really struggled on the PP.
