Hasn't been a habit for the Hawks though.

Red Wings have done that for a decade. They're finally learning they can't do that anymore either.

hated that call. it all started by kane slashing down on the guy's stick. with the force he used, if the guy's stick broke, they would have called slashing.

I see Sather hasn't lost his touch. Hank resigned for 7 years @ $8.5M per. I just hope the cap climbs a lot over the next couple of seasons.

yes it will - for 2 reasons. One is all the outdoor games. Two (and more important) the deal between the NHL and Rogers for Canadian tv rights.

Johnny Boychuk in ambulance en route to hospital after taking a vicious hit by Max Pacioretty (that name rings bell) while he was crouched over near boards.

At first people thought the fans at the Bell Centre were booing Boychuk but they were actually booing Pacioretty. Boychuk got a very warm round of applause when he was wheeled off the ice.

They're warming up for that inevitable stretch of games when they'll be booing Price.

I think Tim Army was coaching the B's the second period.
