2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

Fox News, always looking out for the smallest slight against the Republican party, has actually put up a pretty substantial one on its homepage. Voters in a Philly polling place (local school) are greeted with the mural of President Obama and his 2008 campaign logo and slogan. There are very good reasons to support laws that state a public building cannot be named after a politician until X number of years after his/her passing.

That's racisim. I also read where one of the NBPP nancy boys has shown up in his cute little uniform at the same precinct where they displayed clubs four years ago. This time, however, this clown is an official "poll watcher." Much better,

Isn't it time for your afternoon nap?

I bet that changed a lot of votes.

Whether it did or not is beside the point. Election officials should not be campaigning at a site where voting is going on. And neither should anyone else.

If the Republicans did that, Scooby'd be having one of his conniptions.

Right. I'd sure throw a fit if someone in Mississippi was wearing a Romney hat.

Nobody cares what you would do. Any election official at any polling place anywhere should not be permitted to wear or display camaign materials for any candidate. Period. And neither should anyone else.

Can't believe it, but I'm going to side with Fox "News" on this one. They should have covered up the mural. If voters were walking into a building with a huge mural of Mitt Romney the Democrats would be screaming bloody murder. I know I would. It isn't about influencing people's votes, it's about keeping the polling places free of electioneering. If you allow murals for one side, the other side is going to want signs right outside the door and then someone will say people should walk around the voting place with stickers and the next thing you know you're standing in the voting booth with an operative from the Democratic and Republican parties telling you how to cast you vote. No thanks. We have enough of the signs, stickers and ads on the way to the polls, we don't need them AT the polling place.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

Was listening to Rush on the way in and he was hypothetically promoting secession if Obama wins.

His idea (supposedly from a listener) was that we just split the country in half and the liberals get Obama for president and get to run things how they want.

The Republicans would get Romney and their policies - as if they'd keep Romney. He'd have an "accident" in the first week.

The question was how long till the liberals were digging tunnels to get into the Republican half of the country. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the Repubs would build a wall at the Mississippi. Said the libs would be broke in two weeks coz everyone would be on welfare.

Good fun. Had a good laugh on the way in. At this point, I just want Obama to win so I can tune in tomorrow! :D

So if the Dems win, the losers shouldn't be trying to find common ground, they should be considering secession. Perfect.

Of course if Dems wanted to secede, they'd be treasonous traitors who should be gunned down in the streets.

Rush is good comedy. It's insanity in overdrive.

You're exactly right. Only one standard. Not one standard for mostly white Republican precincts and another for mostly black Democrat precincts. Welcome back.

Agreed. They got that one right.
